Archaeological site on two branches of a wadi valley with 63 tombs and burial chambers.via Google

The burial site of Egypt's New Kingdom pharaohs, where deep rock-cut tombs feature incredibly vibrant, original painted reliefs.

Good to know
A standard ticket includes entry to three tombs. The tombs of Tutankhamun, Seti I, and Ramesses VI require extra tickets.

This valley is truly extraordinary. When you enter you only see some tunnels, but when you get into the tunnels you are in a different world. Dozens and dozens of meters of walls and ceilings all decorated and engraved. A wonder view for the eyes.

Beautiful tombs with well preserved drawings. It's amazing that the colours are still so vivid. In the summer it's very hot there and humid inside the tombs.

Great place to see a lot of history - the tombs are amazing in terms of carvings, paintings, tombs, statues, everything you've imagined or seen on movies is here. It can get stuffy and crowded inside so beware. The ticket allows you entrance to 3 tombs for free. Anything more is extra. Best to buy online ticket as you may be able to enter more tombs for free.

The model that cost 4 million to show how the caves are shaped and how deep they are is FASCINATING. Our group got to go at night to see three tombs privately. But only Three are seen. Of course there is always a gimmick that if you want to go farther in a tomb you need an additional ticket. Then charge the tour company more. I think the saddest and most disrespectful site was seeing King Tut’s blackened head and feet with his body covered maybe in a shroud. We were told they are trying to figure out how to move him. Look the technology is there to do it but it makes his tomb have more cache. I would think the Egyptians would have more respect for what this illustrious Boy King has done for tourism in Egypt. The GEM was built for his collection that was found almost 100 years ago. His short life with his little body has brought in a ton of money and he deserves more respect. It’s shocking. This King put Egypt on the map

Very interesting to see. Also very crowded and the tombstone are hot and humid even under ground. I recommend hiring a guide. I would also recommend buying the extra ticket to see additional tombs. We saw 5 in all, Rameses III, Tut Ankh Amun, Rameses IV, Seti, and one other one. The walls of every tomb are covered in art work. There are locals in the tombs that will take pictures in restricted areas for you at a cost. We didn't do these and just to pictures of what we could see. I don't know if those options were legit or not so we opted to for the cautious side. There is a Cafe for something cold to drink if needed and a souvenir shop as well.
