✨️To enter Marsam is to enter a magic world - away from the street hussles and noises. A peaceful haven, where it seems time has stopped✨️. The setting and building are simple but so beautiful. No heavy chandeliers, marble floors, Rokoko furniture, plastic chairs... - just pure traditional basic style. Surrounded by green fields, and adjacent to some pharaonic Statues and other antiquities. Yet, what impressed me the most, was the incredible atmosphere which has carefully been created and maintained by the dedicated team that is working and running the place -which is the beating heart of the Marsam. Without them, it would just be another very nice boutique hotel. The daily menu offers delicately prepared delicious meals (for all likings), the little boutique offers some beautifully selected fair trade handy crafts from the region (the scarves are amazing). As for the rooms, there are quite a variety - but all are charming, comfortable and specifically decorated in the traditional vibe. Every detail has been considered to enable each guest to feel welcomed and comfortable and to return home with the best gift ever - memorable memories. Thank you to all the Marsam team 🙏
A lovely old building with an interesting history, perfect location near the ancient sites on the west bank and a fantastic, friendly team - what more could you want? It's just such a lovely, peaceful spot. The food - much of it organically grown at the hotel - is fresh and delicious, and I love that the menu is different every day.
Little green oasis just few steps away from the valley of the kings and Habub temple. We went for a quick lunch after a long day exploring Luxor. We got the grilled fish and it was genuinely delicious. Juicy, tasty and accompanied by many side dishes like hummus, tahini, babaganough, olives, salad and bread. The perfect meal on a hot day in Luxor.
A beautiful family owned guest house . The whole place is so peaceful and beautiful, with their farm and animals behind the hotel . Very green and pleasant. The food is excellent, homemade like grandma food . Everybody is very nice and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and rustic design which makes ie very homey . They also did a great job to organize everything for me , from private driver to the balloon and all the sight seeing . As a solo traveler I felt very safe . Thank you Alla .
A gorgeous rustic yet refined hotel full of charm and history. It’s very peaceful and it has a gorgeous view overlooking the fields, the palm trees, horses and camels. Food is the best we’ve had in Egypt. Our room was spacious and felt authentic yet luxurious. We really enjoyed our stay there. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We’d love to be back. Few things to improve / re-consider: mattress is made of cotton, which is much better for the environment than foam, however, it’s not the most comfortable (kind of feel like sleeping on a cot). Bathroom could deserve a small refresh (new tiling). Service at the restaurant is a bit slow and felt a bit hectic at times.
