Large koshary is now listed at 80EGP on the menu for tourists. Local price is 40. Typical of EGYouPayT. Large water is 7.5EGP in Luxor (cheaper than Cairo and Alexandria) but here you pay three times the price. Koshary was pretty tasty, here’s hoping it was prepared sanitarily. I never risk it by getting meat added, pro tip. Koshary is nice enough without meat.
You come tor koshary: very good. We also tried "liver sandwich": excellent. Price is below any expectation
I ordered a shawarma sandwich to take away for 100LE. It was different than Syrian shawarma (normal bun bread) but it came fast and was warm. They added fries even though I didn’t order any which was nice. I was the only tourist but everyone was incredibly nice to me (clients included). I would come back
This place is simply wonderful. The people are friendly and helpful, they go out of their way to be accommodating. The food is delicious. If you like great koshari from a welcoming takeaway (seating is sometimes available but it was not during Ramadan) then this is for you. For two bowls of koshari, including sauces, extra breads, and a large water, we paid 150LE (about £2).
Good restaurant with friendly staff. Food was cooked well. Hawashi nice and fresh out of the pizza oven. Good prices.
