We had a great experience at Al-Sahaby Lane. Everything was very good, from the food to the service. Our waiter, Oka, was especially friendly and made us feel very welcome. The traditional Egyptian dishes were delicious and authentic, but the menu also offers plenty of options for different tastes. Highly recommended for anyone looking for good food and a pleasant atmosphere.
Don't come here if you're very hungry. It took 1 hour for the food to be prepped. For a restaurant that knows it's takes time to make food, they should provide complimentary appetisers for waiting guests immediately after order. Our fries was cold. Camel dish was absolutely tasty. Pigeon was interesting and new flavour. View and seating is good. We were given wrong item and charged but manager resolved it instantly. We are grateful for that. Lots of room for improvement.
Lovely place to dinner and see the spectacular views from the rooftop. Food was nice, specially the traditional dishes. Kids asked for burgers and the meat was a bit overdone but the soups and tagine dishes we had were very good. We also asked for some fruit juices that even if nice had a bit too much water. It was not the fastest place but with the fantastic views it was not a problem at all. I really recommend this place and the prices were quite reasonable.
Great food and great views from the rooftop. If you feel like walking 4 flights of stairs you can enjoy your meal facing the Nile and the Luxor temple. Super juicy chicken and delicious zaatar. Highly recommend after a long day sightseeing and perfect for a sunset dinner.
Great rooftop restaurant with lovely food and an amazing view of the Nile and Luxor Temple. Egyptian pie is highly recommended. Food can take around 30-45 to arrive so ensure you have enough time.
