This is hands down the best hotel experience I’ve had in West Hollywood. I’ve stayed at luxury properties like the The Ritz-Carlton and Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club in Orange County, and the level of service here truly stands out. We were celebrating my birthday, and Ernest (the hotel manager) absolutely made our trip. He was attentive, kind, and handled everything with such professionalism. Any small issue we had was resolved immediately and with genuine care. He also made sure our birthday celebration felt special and stress-free, which meant so much to me and my friends. Exceptional customer service is rare, and Ernest represents this hotel so well. We will definitely be back!
I genuinely cannot believe this is considered a “luxury” property. Staying at the The West Hollywood EDITION felt less like a premium hotel experience and more like booking a front-row seat to a nightclub I didn’t ask to attend. The noise is absolutely outrageous. Between the thumping bass from the hotel’s own nightclub and the nonstop chaos from Sunset Strip, I’m not sure how anyone is supposed to sleep. The walls and windows seem to have the sound insulation quality of a tent. For a property charging luxury-level rates, you would expect at least basic soundproofing. Instead, it felt like the DJ was performing in my closet until 2 a.m. What’s most frustrating is that this is not some budget hotel. It markets itself as high-end, serene, and exclusive. There is nothing serene about vibrating windows and bass that rattles the bed frame. If you are paying premium prices, you should not need earplugs as part of the turndown service. If your goal is to party all night, you will love it. If your goal is sleep, relaxation, or literally any form of peace and quiet, look elsewhere.
My family and I stayed here and had the most amazing experience at the pool. The entire pool team was great but specifically Jeremy and Julian were fantastic. Extremely helpful, kind, and they made sure to go the extra mile and make me and my family feel welcome and have the best time possible! I don’t often write reviews, but because it was such a positive experience I figured they deserved a good review!
The West Hollywood Edition exceeded every expectation. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with incredibly comfortable beds. We always experience excellent service and an incredibly relaxing spa experience. The spa manager Michael and his entire staff are always warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. My fiance and I always make sure to book a spa appointment while staying here as they offer massages, facials, and more! Definitely one of the best places to stay in West Hollywood and we cannot wait to return. Thank you for always making our stay a wonderful experience.
Great Bar and Food, But Pricey and a Rough Night of Sleep I stayed at The West Hollywood EDITION on 4/15/26 for a business trip (room 445) and only had one night, so it was a quick, real-world test: check in, work, sleep, repeat. The staff was friendly, and the hotel and my room were clean—my photos pretty much show the vibe: bright, modern, and put together. The hallways to my room, though, felt like a maze and had zero warmth. It was mostly white walls with scuffs, and the whole walk back to the room felt more like an office building than a hotel I’m paying a premium for. I’ve stayed in plenty of places at lower price points that manage to feel more inviting without trying so hard. The bigger issue was the room temperature. After getting back late from a Dodgers game, my room was sitting at 78 degrees—way too warm to sleep. I wrestled with the thermostat, then called the front desk. About 30 minutes later, a friendly maintenance guy came up, reset it, and even brought a fan, which helped the room cool down faster. I appreciated the effort, but I’d rather not have to call in a rescue mission just to get the A/C running. Food and drinks were the highlight. Breakfast was tasty, but at $83, it also made my eyes water a little. Lunch and dinner for my meeting were both very good, and the bar scene was a standout. The tempura onion rings and prime skirt steak at Ardor were some of the best I’ve ever had, and that’s not something I say lightly. For the overall price point, I don’t see myself returning when I’ve gotten better for a lot less. 3.5/5 stars.
