Still can't get over the value at HI Los Angeles - Santa Monica Hostel! 🤯 Missing this place already. For just a dozen dollars a night, the experience was amazing. Super clean everywhere (including the public restrooms), and even though the bed was a little soft, it was incredibly comfortable. My favorite part was the common area—they have a huge kitchen with stoves you can use, and the free drinks they provide are actually great quality! If you want to stay in Santa Monica without breaking the bank, this is definitely the place. The性价比 (value for money) is through the roof! 🛌✨ #HostelReview #LASantaMonica #BudgetTravel #HIHostels #CozyStay #Calivibes #TravelGram

It was my first time staying at a hostel. I was a bit hesitant because I’m very strict about privacy and cleanliness. But I needed a place to stay for 3 nights in California, and this was the only hostel I found with really good reviews. And honestly, the reviews were right! I paid for a 6-bed female dorm, but there were only 3 of us. My roommates were very respectful and clean. If you need a place to stay for a few nights in a hurry, the price and location are excellent. I have no complaints.

I have stayed at many hostels in the past year and this is by far the best hostel I have been to. This is more comparable to a resort and the only down side is that there is a 2 week maximum per year which makes sense for such a great hostel as it would be fully booked all year round otherwise. The location is perfect, the staff are amazing and the amenities are plentiful. Unfortunately I used up my 2 weeks at the beginning of the year so I will have to wait till next year to stay here again.

I've stayed at the HI LA Santa Monica Hostel in September 2025. It was my first time in a Hostel, and the experience couldn't have been better. The location is excellent, as you're just a few walks away from the beach, a trainstation and other local ammenities. The staff is nice and helpful. The place overall is nice, clean and organized. Breakfast was served for a fair price of $5 (at the time of my stay), which included bagels, some fruits, cereals, milk, coffe and water. If you like engaging in activies to meet new people, the Hostel also offers lots of group activities so you can socialize. I haven't enganged in any myself, but everyone I talked to realyl enjoyed it. This Hostel made my stay in LA much better than I could imagine, and I would definetly return!

I had a great stay at HI Los Angeles Santa Monica! The location couldn’t be better, just a few minutes from the beach, the pier, and tons of restaurants and shops. The hostel is super clean, well-organized, and feels really safe. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfy, and the bathrooms are spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready with tips about the area. I loved the social vibe, it’s easy to meet people from all over the world, and they organize fun activities like tours, yoga, and even comedy nights. Overall, this hostel is the perfect mix of comfort, cleanliness, and community. Totally worth it and I’d definitely stay here again!
