While the aesthetics of the hotel are beautiful and clearly thoughtfully designed, the service has been some of the poorest I’ve experienced, and I travel frequently and have stayed at many high-end hotels. We are staying here for a full week, and this was just within the first 24 hours of our stay. After arriving from a long travel day and paying $75 per night for valet, the person who initially took my keys disappeared. Another staff member eventually helped, but when I asked about assistance with my bags, he told me there was no bellman available and that I could use a cart myself. After I loaded my own luggage, he simply stood there while I struggled to maneuver the oversized cart through a narrow doorway, not even offering to hold the door. The next morning, my partner and I ordered breakfast. Despite taking the food outside ourselves, a large service charge was automatically added. To make matters worse, her meal arrived about 20 minutes before mine. She finished eating before I received my food. I eventually had to go inside to ask about it, where I found multiple employees standing behind the counter, yet no one had checked on the delay. The hotel looks great, but at this price point, service should match the design. Unfortunately, the experience so far has felt disorganized and inattentive, which has taken away from what could otherwise be a great stay.

Five stars because of the people. Every single staff member we encountered was wonderful, from the valet to the housekeepers and everyone in between. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, and it made a huge difference in our stay. I also loved the natural plants in our room. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the space feel calm and alive. My family and I felt well taken care of from start to finish.

This Los Angeles hotel is a standout. The beautiful wood interior creates a warm, elegant, and calming atmosphere throughout. The food is wholesome, clean, and delicious. whether at breakfast, poolside, or anywhere on property. Poolside service was flawless and attentive, with quick, friendly delivery every time. What really impressed me most was the customer service. The staff delivered some of the best hospitality I’ve experienced, warm, professional, and genuinely caring. They made the entire stay feel seamless and special. Beautiful design, great food, perfect service, this place nails it.

The 1 Hotel West Hollywood is very beautiful, stylish, and usually has a great energy. Unfortunately, the experience at Juniper Lounge has become increasingly uncomfortable because of the behavior of some of the bar staff. This is not about one bad interaction. It’s something I’ve noticed repeatedly, and after reading other reviews, it seems other guests have experienced it too. There’s an extremely cliquey and unprofessional atmosphere coming from certain bartenders who openly gossip about and bad mouth guests while they are still there. It honestly feels less like hospitality and more like being back in high school watching a group of mean girls stand in the corner judging people. What makes it worse is that management appears to tolerate or even participate in the behavior instead of correcting it. Guests and clients come to places like this to relax, enjoy the ambiance, and have a good experience not to feel mocked, judged, or uncomfortable while supporting the business. It’s unfortunate because Juniper and the hotel itself are extremely amazing . The drinks, food, and ambiance are genuinely great, which makes the staff behavior stand out even more negatively. Professionalism and respect towards clients should be the standard at a hotel and lounge of this level.
