My only complaint is the wifi being not reliable in some places of the hostel — I found it to be much more consistent on the bottom level where the kitchen / café / bar are than the ground level for sure. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay here. Service was very friendly and transparent; I originally booked a 7-person room but due to maintenance they placed me in a vacant 6-person room at no extra cost. The breakfast buffet (which isn’t automatically included but is an add-on) was standard but still plentiful and great. Hot chocolate refills from the coffee was soooo convenient. I recommend the add-on if you don’t plan on getting English breakfast elsewhere during your stay here. If I remember correctly, there aren’t any social activities organised but it was still easy to socialise within the shared rooms. The dorm room itself was clean and quiet from my experience, with for each bed: USB, power plug outlets, curtains and lights. The bathroom and toilet are not too small for what it is worth. I would probably stay here again if I come back to London in the future!

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. The rooms are good overall (great value for money), and the beds with curtains add a bit of much-needed privacy. The bathrooms were always clean. The location wasn’t ideal, since the hostel is located in the City of London (near Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, etc.), which makes it a bit far from Westminster, Piccadilly, Soho, and other central areas. Still, there are plenty of public transport options within walking distance. There were also always plenty of activities going on at the hostel bar (located on floor minus 1) until around 1:30 am. The location of the bar was actually perfect: it created a great atmosphere, while the noise never really reached the rooms, so you could still rest peacefully.

I had an exceptional experience rooming at Wombat London. I booked a bed in a 4 room female dorm and the cleanliness was fantastic! The sheets we were given for the mattress were washed and pressed and the common teas spotless. The customer service and friendly staff really made it a great experience. Also, I made some new friends which made the experience superb. I will definitely be staying here again the near future! Thank you!

I stayed in a 6 bed shared room and overall the facilities were quite good. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the bar area was really nice with reasonably priced drinks. Breakfast was okay, but it felt quite repetitive since the same options were served every day. The main issue for me was the atmosphere created by the staff. As someone visiting from Asia, I didn’t feel as welcomed compared to other guests. Staff seemed noticeably friendlier and more engaged with others, while interactions with me felt distant and at times dismissive. There was also a common area with a pool table and other activities, but it was often occupied by staff, and when I asked to join, they seemed hesitant. This made the overall experience feel uncomfortable and took away from what is otherwise a well maintained and pleasant hostel. I think the place has great potential, but it would benefit from being more inclusive and welcoming to international guests. Overall, I’d rate it 3 out of 5.

It was my first time staying in a hostel and I was honestly a little nervous, but the experience was excellent. Everything was super clean and very well organized. I stayed in a 6-bed female dorm and was lucky to have great roommates, which made the experience even more calm and enjoyable. Overall, the place felt very safe, as you need key cards to access the rooms and different areas. The kitchen area is spacious and convenient to use. The common areas and the bar downstairs are also really nice, and they offer plenty of activities, which is great for meeting people and making the most of your stay. The location is good as well. It’s not right in the very center, but it’s about a 10-minute walk to the Underground, which easily connects you to the main attractions around the city. Overall, a very positive experience for my first hostel stay.
