The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Proud displays of previous guests are reassuring and interesting to note. The main restaurant is there to please with creativity, hospitality and expertise. Highly recommend the experience the staff and foods will delight you! The room we had was comfortable but felt a bit small with too much furniture taking up space. Bed was very comfortable.
I had an excellent business stay at Claridge’s in London on 01.02.26. From the moment I arrived, the service was outstanding—professional, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. The room was beautifully presented, quiet, and extremely comfortable, making it easy to both relax and work productively. The attention to detail throughout the hotel truly reflects its reputation for quality and elegance. The staff were particularly impressive, always courteous and attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly during my stay. Facilities were excellent, and the overall atmosphere was calm, refined, and perfectly suited for a business trip. A thoroughly enjoyable and seamless experience. I would gladly stay again and highly recommend Claridge’s to anyone visiting London for business or leisure.
I tried the top 3 afternoon tea places in London recently and this was the best one in terms of service and food Robert’s attention to details was excellent- thank you! It’s the first time I manage to finish everything and without being rushed. We even had a few sandwiches to take away in a stylish box and a little chocolate gift too! Chairs were not as comfy as some other places but they are beautiful I will definitely be back
We were craving for a cream tea, so with my girls and granddaughter went to Claridge’s. The welcome we received from the staff members was amazing and they made sure that we were comfortable. My girls and granddaughter had the rich organic hot chocolate. I had the Genmaicha tea, the top grade sencha with organic, Japanese brown rice. This was one of the best teas I have had, many thanks to Marius for his recommendation. The scones were fluffy and delicious. We received both the service and hospitality from Marius Faina. He went out of his way to make our granddaughter’s experience great. While we had fresh cream and jam on our scones he brought Nutella for our granddaughter and she was so happy. I have no hesitation in giving them a 5 ⭐ rating for their service, hospitality and for our overall experience. We will definitely go back.
Unfortunately I would not recommend Claridge’s, our experience did not feel luxurious at all. My husband and I booked to go for Christmas lunch last weekend with our wedding planner who had travelled from Norfolk. I had emailed beforehand mentioning I had broken my foot so therefore could come in a wheelchair or crutches. I was assured crutches would be fine however upon arrival I soon realised this was a big mistake- the floor was marble and super slippery (they clearly were aware of this as they had several wet floor placards out). My crutches could not get any grip and I nearly fell twice- luckily my husband was there to help as no one from the hotel did. Moving on to the food- we ordered the festive menu, the starter and dessert were nice however the Turkey main was really poor. I would compare it to a Christmas dinner at a cheap pub- dry Turkey, rubbery stuffing, burnt pigs in blankets, the potatoes weren’t crispy. All three of us were disappointed and left probably half our meal- the staff were so rushed off their feet they did not even ask why we had left so much. Apart from this though the staff were lovely just very busy- there was a queue to get into the foyer and the whole feeling was very hectic. In terms of food it seems the restaurant was serving afternoon tea, cooked breakfasts, a la carte and Christmas dinner all at once so no wonder the quality was seriously lacking. One positive thing to highlight would be the pianist and choir which were a lovely festive touch. Claridge’s emailed the next day asking for feedback and I filled in a very detailed questionnaire- however a week later I have heard nothing back from them which seems very poor from a hotel of their standing. Overall I would choose a different hotel- Raffles at the OWO was far superior.
