Stayed in the private suite for 4 people for 3 nights. I cannot believe how much space we had; one large room with 2 double beds including one bed on a mezzanine as well as another separate living room. Both rooms had very high ceilings which makes the rooms feel even bigger. The attached bathroom, which was private and only for our use, was also very nice and spacious. It was seriously one of the best hostel private suites I’ve ever stayed in. The location of the hostel is excellent, right inside the Sao Bento train station so it’s very central. All the staff were friendly. Highly recommended! :)

Probably the friendliest staff I’ve ever met. The hostel is located in a beautiful station, with everything just a few meters away. The bed is comfortable, the locker is spacious, the showers and bathrooms look newly renovated, and the kitchen is open and roomy. So, from the bottom of my heart, I give it a 10/10. I totally recommend it!

The Passenger was my first hostel experience and everything about it was fabulous! The facilities are so nice and everyone staying there was so kind. The location is perfect to explore Porto and they organized group outings to encourage us to meet other travelers. Definitely recommend!

If only all hostels were like this. If you’re ok with the noise of construction and being in the center of town it’s a very convenient and social option. I’m two days into my stay and have met a few great people and the staff makes it fun with social events like free pasta night and karaoke. Drinks are 3 euro, and breakfast is reasonably tasty and filling too. Beds comfy bathrooms roomy. Beautiful building. If you want a more neighborhood feel this is not your place. If you want a central and more party style experience it definitely is. Most travelers seem to be in their 20s but that’s to be expected from hostel life I suppose.

As a couple we mostly book hotel rooms, however this hostel was on our list for a while but unfortunately it didn’t meet expectations. Service: except for one lady, service was strange and unpleasant. We didn’t really feel welcomed. When we left we didn’t have a goodbye or how was your stay. Just a weird vibe. And we didn’t feel comfortable that they “stored” our bags at the bar. Rooms: we had a private room and it was huge. If you are a light sleeper then this might not be the place for you because the noise at night is terrible. Once that noise “settles” you hear the staff talking pretty loud from the common area. Also the bathrooms are across the hall, so you don’t have a real good view on the station (not like they claim with their pictures). A big plus was that the private rooms have their one bathrooms. About the latter, at the ladies there wasn’t really warm water and during winter that was quite uncomfortable. Cleanliness: it’s clean Amenities: Breakfast: was included but we didn’t had any because we wanted to have the real experience. Location: perfect. Especially if you come by train. Price: around €92 for the two of us in the weekend per night.
