Perfect location in Lisbon. Rooms were great and clean but a little smaller than I expected. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and being able to enjoy it on the terrace in the sun/shade is a big plus. Service was the best: everyone in the staff was friendly and helpful.
This hotel was an absolute jewel in the heart of Alfama. The staff was exceptional and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. I would stay here again and again. The views from the rooftop were unmatched!!! I loved this hotel so much. ❤️
We were very happy with our stay at Memmo Alfama! The rooms were nice and clean, the complimentary breakfast was fantastic, and the overall service was great. We loved the view from our terrace room, and were able to enjoy our drinks straight from the pool bar on our terrace. Definitely in a very busy touristy area, but the hotel itself is a little tucked away which was very nice.
Alfama is a neighborhood worth visiting, and the Memmo Alfama is in the middle of it. The hotel even offers a free guided tour of the neighborhood most days. Keep in mind that it's a very hilly neighborhood, and sidewalks are narrow and cobbled. Check-in was more than smooth -- I asked for an extra service, and got it without paying any more. The Mansard room is small and comfortable, with a very practical bathroom (with two bathrobes). The window is blocked halfway because of the architecture, but you can get a great top-floor view if you open it and stand on the step. The hotel supplies a water boiler and cups for your morning tea. The common facilities are exceptional. Very comfortable breakfast area, separate reading room, and amazing terraces with a view over the city. The pool is small, but looks inviting (I was here in February, though). I did not try their breakfast. It was good value for money in February. I have no idea what their prices are like in High Season.
We had a recent stay a week ago for two nights. It was our first time in Lisbon and I picked this hotel based on a web search. Be careful the Uber dropped us off and told us to go down the road w/luggage and we would get to the hotel. Along the way we found a very nice person who turned out we later found out to work in the hotel. She told us Uber/Bolt usually make that mistake, it is a street after the one they usually drop off at. And there is sign that tells you the hotel is in that particular alleyway. Once there, the front desk is so amazingly friendly and informative. Tiago was wonderful and helped us with so many questions that we had. His dinner pick was on point! Discreto delicious food, great atmosphere and friendly staff, I'm sure anything you order from that menu is superb. The breakfast at Memmo Alfama was the best that we had from other places we stayed in throughout the week. The freshness of the fruits, the homemade yogurt and homemade granola was just so delicious. And lastly the rooftop bar with its amazing view, we had lunch and a few drinks the next evening. Again, staff was awesome. Thank you Memmo Alfama and staff.
