I recently had the pleasure of staying at one of the finest hotels in Lisbon, and it truly exceeded every expectation. The location is unbeatable — right in the city center and within walking distance to everything you could possibly need. Whether you’re exploring historic streets, shopping, or dining, everything is just steps away. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by the hotel’s warm and elegant décor. The ambiance feels luxurious yet inviting, making it easy to relax immediately. The rooms are impressively spacious, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service. Every single staff member — from the doorman to the reception team to the restaurant staff — delivers outstanding hospitality. They go above and beyond, even remembering your name and addressing you by your last name, which adds such a personal and thoughtful touch. If you stay here, booking the spa is an absolute must. The facial treatments using Susan Kaufmann products are incredible. I strongly recommend therapists Sarah and Jessica — both are highly skilled and provide a truly rejuvenating experience. Don’t miss the rooftop bar for stunning views and a fantastic atmosphere. Also, make sure to dine at BAHR restaurant — the food is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. With its top-notch service, prime location, and overall excellence, this is hands down the best hotel in Lisbon. Don’t bother looking at any other hotels — this is the one.

I had a wonderful stay at Bairro Alto Hotel. The service was outstanding throughout. Attentive, professional and genuinely welcoming, every interaction felt thoughtful and sincere. The hotel is impeccably maintained, and the attention to detail is evident everywhere. The team should be proud of what they have created, and I would also like to congratulate the management. There is a clear ambition to deliver hospitality at the highest level, and that commitment can be felt throughout the entire guest experience. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the vibrant Bairro Alto district. Despite being surrounded by one of Lisbon’s liveliest neighbourhoods, the hotel offers a refined and comfortable retreat. The views from the rooftop bar and restaurant are beautiful and provide a fantastic perspective over the city. I look forward to returning.

What a dreamy place to land after a chaotic travel day. This hotel was incredible - the rooms are immaculate and quiet, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the location is hard to beat. The rooftop bar and (included) breakfast was amazing too - the views! 10/10, I will definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone.

First time at this gorgeous hotel and it was definitely quite an experience! Everything felt so warmth from the moment we arrived till we left. The staff was very friendly and always tried to meet all our needs. The room felt unique and the amenities at the hotel were all top level. The restaurant is incredible and the rooftop is, without any doubt, one of the best views over the city. An experience to repeat for sure...

This is a boutique luxury hotel , which has one Michelin key. I stayed with them for four nights in April 2026. It was great but there were some surprising inconsistencies. The positives : beautiful rooms, comfortable bed, wonderful decor details, excellent restaurant and roof top bar, very friendly and enthusiastic staff. The negatives/inconsistencies: Service, although very well intentioned, sometimes was surprisingly lacking. For example, we ordered breakfast in the room one day , at 7am instead of the 7.30 when they opened because we had an early tour. We had to go downstairs ourselves to get it. That was very unexpected for a luxury hotel. Then it was not what we asked. We asked for a croissant and several sides (ham, cheese, bread , coffee). They made croissant sandwiches with ham and butter. Super weird. It was like an airline breakfast box. There are no irons in the rooms. We asked for one and it’s like they never had that request. They said they can’t give us one but they can iron our clothes. Someone came to take the clothes, then someone else brought the iron later and they took it away next day. And they charged us for the ironing! It’s not about the money but they didn’t say there was a charge and then they brought an iron anyway and took it away next day. We gave up ironing anything else. There were other small things but I’ll just stop there because overall we enjoyed the hotel a lot. Overall a great hotel and I’d stay there again but for over $600/night, the details could be better.
