Great atmosphere and staff members. Their service was prompt and the food came just at the right time. We had the grilled octopus, roasted pork shoulder and catch of the day ceviche which were all beautifully cooked. The highlight of the dinner was their picarones which were the best donuts I have ever tasted. If you do not speak Spanish and prefer an English menu, do ask them for one which will make your life much easier.

If you're in Lima, this is a must-try. You can tell it’s legit because it’s packed with locals, not just tourists. The vibe is spectacular and the flavors are incredibly rich. Quick Tips: Book ahead: There was a 50-minute wait when we arrived. Definitely make a reservation. Portions: Very generous! We were a group of 4 and definitely over-ordered. Pricing: Total was S/ 507.00 for the group (see photo of the pre-cuenta for details). The Standouts: Food: Causa Limeña de Pollo (S/ 43), Ají de Gallina (S/ 42), El Lomo Saltado (S/ 88), and El Pollo Criollo (S/ 68). Drinks: Their traditional cocktails are excellent. Highly recommend the Pisco Sour Clásico (S/ 39), La Chinita (S/ 39), and La Sangrona (S/ 39). For a non-alcoholic option, the Chicha Morada (S/ 12) was great too. Highly recommend if you want the real deal in Miraflores.

This is a Peruvian tourist destination and very famous to go to. Lines are out the door with what seemed like locals and tourists forming a huge line. I waited about 45 minutes and had already decided on the Panceta de lechon crocante by the time I was seated with a pisco sour on the side. Food: As mentioned, portions are large, but was just fine overall. This felt more like the type of food you get when going to Red Lobster at Times Square than the food Mecca that Lima was supposed to be. Lechon was a bit dry, overly fatty, and generally flavorless and the sauces provided were just ok. Corn and papas were also mostly flavorless. Service: the real kicker here was that the service was incredibly ordinary if not borderline inattentive at times. And then by the time I was about to pay, the waiter had asked me before I even had a moment to process, if I wanted to tip and he had already typed in the tip he wanted before he finished asking me. The waiters know who their targets are for sure so be careful when you get rung up. Final Verdict: Despite being one of the most famous restaurants in Lima, I had a mostly mediocre experience. There are other places in Lima with better food, services and vibes I’m sure but Panchita itself was a bit of a disappointment

A very enjoyable meal overall with great service from Caleb. The pisco sour was massive and the grilled chicken prepared very well also. Cool local authentic atmosphere.

I’m not sure that this place deserves the hype. First of all, it is expensive. Second of all there is a significant wait, we came around 3pm and had to wait for 45 minutes to get a table and then about 40 to get our food. The food was fine. I appreciate the idea of being able to try 8 different creole dishes but there were not very good. The ossobuco was not very tender and it definitely should be. The dessert was pretty good. Overall it was cold in the restaurant and the food got cold very quickly. I don’t think I would recommend this place.
