This place seems to have confused theater with hospitality. The cocktails looked impressive enough—balloons, colorful garnishes, all the visual distractions one could ask for. Unfortunately, once the show was over, what remained in the glass was mostly mediocrity. Plenty of gimmicks, very little originality, and even less flavor. The highlight of the evening turned out to be my request for extra olives. I asked for some and offered to be charged. They didn’t deliver. I followed up with the waiter. She went to talk to the manager. Still no olives. It’s a remarkable achievement: a bar capable of charging $17 USD per drink, yet somehow unable to produce a few extra olives. Fatima, Sofia, and manager Jason should revisit the basics of hospitality.

Carnaval is easily one of the best bar and cocktail experiences I've had in recent memory. Full stop. I usually get a little skeptical of places that put too much focus on the visual spectacle, because in my experience, that can mean the actual drink quality gets overlooked. But here, that fear was completely unfounded. The cocktails weren't just visually stunning; they absolutely delivered on flavor. What truly surprised me—and frankly, elevated the place—was the sheer uniqueness and versatility of the menu. The range of drinks and flavor profiles they can execute is what makes this spot truly elite. They can nail everything from something bright and super fruity and pulpy, to a clean and complex clarified cocktail, all the way to a stiff, masterfully balanced alcohol-forward drink. That kind of stylistic range is seriously impressive. I'm so glad I went with the Carnaval Experience Cocktail Flight. It was the absolute best decision to try and sample their genius. Seven half-drinks is such a smart idea and a perfect way to enjoy their wide offerings, and honestly, I wish more high-end cocktail bars would employ flights like this. Plus, the service was genuinely fantastic. The staff was great, and the bartenders weren't just fast and skillful; they were genuinely great company to talk to while enjoying the experience. Highly, highly recommended.

Great cocktails and service. A causal neighborhood bar that has an incredibly creative cocktail (and ice) program. The drinks are reasonably priced, the service is causal and warm, and the crowd seemed to be visiting with curiosity to try new things. A unique place I will definitely return to.
