A very enjoyable and serene vegan supper we had tonight at Mumokuteki. We avoided the large number of fried dishes, and instead focused on the steamed vegetables set and the soy milk ramen set. Both flavorful and ample meals. The steamed vegs were a bit bland, but that's what steamed vegs are. Ramen very tasty. All the many side verges and pickles were fun. For dessert the cheesecake and ice cream milkshake were very tasty. Room nice and quiet for conversation. Nice simple white decor with good light.
A cozy cafe with different vegan options to eat. If you are looking for something halal, you can choose the ‘Seasonal seiro steamed vegetables Gozen’. I liked it! A good one to try a Japanese lunch. The atmosphere is a nice. There is beautiful music. It is cosy and minimalist decorated. A nice place to recover from the hustle and bustle of the city. I am especially very grateful for the waiter who helped me to choose a dish without soy sauce and mirin sauce inside (because it contains alcohol, so not halal). Thank you very much! After the meal, I also ordered a Matcha ice with soya milk. Very delicious!! I liked the nuts inside, a very good addition to the matcha ice!
We came for lunch and was able to walk in with no reservation which was a nice surprise. Some staff speaks English which is a plus! So many great options to choose from at this vegan restaurant, but we settled on trying the meal seat to experience the traditional Japanese food. The ramen was delicious and it was great having the rice with it. The green juice was nice and the little cube desserts were fun to eat! We were too full to try other desserts, but they have some amazing options. The restaurant is also cutely decorated. Oishii desu, arigato gozaimasu 😍
Found this little gem in Kyoto today. After a few days of walking around the city, I was craving something simple, healthy and comforting. The Seasonal Steamed Vegetable Set was perfect. Fresh seasonal vegetables, beautifully presented, and full of natural flavour. Sometimes simple food really is the best food. The restaurant has a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere, and the staff were friendly. It felt like a place where you can slow down, enjoy your meal, and take a break from sightseeing. A great choice for vegetarians or anyone wanting a healthier meal in Kyoto. Definitely coming back.
I love this café. Servers are so kind, and our food and drinks came out quickly. Very spacious and elegant café. I went to this spot twice during my short time in Kyoto. I love that they have Wi-Fi. Great spot to read and decompress. I dream about their tiramisu dessert and hojicha smoothie. highly recommend. I love the vegan meat cutlets and the side dishes. I’m not sure if I would order the omelette again since it was mainly rice and sauce! But overall amazing food and atmosphere 🩶🌱
