Such an amazing place! We were immediately greeted, seated and had our coats taken, without a reservation. There is only counter seating offered but don't let this change your mind if you do not prefer this as there was still a nice level of intimacy if you have company. The head chef kindly gave us some appetisers which were lovely. The serving girls were quick to listen to your request. Everything we had was cooked to perfection. Honestly, I wanted to come back again, soooo sad I couldn't. My favourite restaurant in Kyoto. Will be back for my next trip.

Absolutely phenomenal meat. We had the course and every dish was melt in your mouth and seasoned perfectly. We managed to get the last two seats. The sake was very good quality and the owner is lovely :) I would definitely recommend!

I discovered this restaurant through a search on Google Maps - what a remarkable find! It is tucked away on a narrow street and quite small in size. I went there on December 2024, dined alone and, upon entering, was asked by a staff member whether I had a reservation. When I replied that I did not, there was a brief hesitation before he consulted with another staff member, who confirmed they could accommodate me. The staff were not particularly warm, but they were polite and professional throughout. The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated and designed in a narrow, corridor-like layout, featuring a single counter with seating on one side and an open kitchen on the other. Watching the dishes being prepared in front of you adds a unique and engaging element to the dining experience. I ordered beef, potatoes, a risotto-style dish, and red wine. The food was exceptionally flavorful! Although the prices were on the higher end, the overall experience was highly satisfying!

My boyfriend and I favorite restaurant ever. We ate here 2 years ago and have thought about it weekly since. Came back to Japan to see if it was as good as we remembered. And it absolutely was, we will dream about this meal forever. We wish we could bring this home to the usa. Great staff, great atmosphere and wonderful food with reasonable prices. I recommend to everyone visiting Kyoto.

We came here for my husband’s birthday and it was truly one of the best meals I’ve had at a restaurant. Let me tell you that I will be dreaming of this Wagyu steak for a very long time. Every course was delicious and meticulously prepared. The desserts were incredible. The staff was very sweet and the place itself was very nice. although it is a bit in the outskirts of the center of Kyoto, it is most definitely worth the detour for a high end meal at a very reasonable price. Just make sure to reserve in advance!
