The nasi lemak ayam goreng was delicious. The chicken was crispy and had a nice spice marinade which gave it tasty juicy flavour. The rice was fragrant and the chili was spicy which went well with the chicken. The lime juice was refreshing but a bit too sweet. The queue does move really fast but during peak periods it still means at least a 30 minute wait for a table. The seats inside are also closely packed together which results in people bumping into you constantly. A nice place to check out but opt for delivery if you’d like to save time!

I have read a lot of the reviews before coming here & noted that the consensus from locals is pretty consistent, making it among KL/PJ’s stronger commercial nasi lemak spots. My take after the food : 1. The ayam goreng is the real star — crispy, juicy, very well-seasoned. The rice is fragrant and “lemak” enough for me. The sambal is definitely on the sweet side and not so spicy. 2. The sambal sotong slices are tender with a slightly bouncy texture, much to my liking. 3. The beef rendang is fork-tender, but not shredded apart like stew, with some smoky richness. So yum. 4. The mee rebus was pretty standard though. In conclusion, if you enjoy slightly sweeter sambal and crispy fried chicken, you’ll like the food here. If you prefer old-school kampung-style nasi lemak with very rich coconut rice and punchier sambal, you may feel it’s slightly overrated compared with smaller roadside stalls. For variety, I would recommend to have some sambal sotong and beef rendang on the side. The not overly sweet kuih dessert is also a fantastic way to complete the hearty meal. If you’re already around PJ, this place is definitely worth trying once. Overall, the food quality is solid, and the pricing remains fair compared to many commercial nasi lemak places that cost more while delivering less flavour and fragrance. Queue is crazy but service is relatively fast.

This is definitely one of the most famous restaurants in Malaysia, as a lot of foreigners keep posting about their experience here on social media. We came here around 2pm on a Friday and had a hard time finding parking nearby. I guess it was already past peak lunch hour, so we got seated quite fast, around 15 minutes, even though there was still a long queue. We were a bit confused about how to order at first because there was no QR code on the table and no one came to take our order. Turns out the waiters will come and take orders from a few tables at once. We all ordered their famous nasi lemak with ayam goreng. One of my friends wanted to order ikan goreng, but unfortunately it was not available. We were also quite confused with the serving order. Our nasi lemak arrived first, but the drinks only came about 15 minutes later when we were almost done eating. Meanwhile, some tables around us got their drinks first but had to wait longer for their food. To be honest, this is one of the best nasi lemak we’ve ever had. The strong coconut milk fragrance hits you on the first bite, and we couldn’t stop eating. The sambal was really good too, although the portion was a bit small (they charge extra 80 sen for more sambal). The fried chicken was cooked perfectly, with super crispy skin and tender meat inside. Now we understand why this place attracts such a huge crowd of tourists just to try their nasi lemak.

Packed. Noisy. Authentic. Best Nasi Lemak in the city. Of course I am no expert and I ve read their sambal is not to everyone’s taste… well I love it. I never go beyond Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng though. It’s a single dish place for me🫣 sharing a table with total strangers is a special and fun experience. People are well fed and kind though. Couple times we were offered to try and share their food.

Enjoyed the nasi lemak and chicken berempah very much. The rice is really fragrant. Can smell the coconut when we started scooping the rice to share. Chicken is tender and well seasoned. The berempah crumbs are really crispy. Beef rendang is tender and flavourful. Kangkong is good too. Very happy with my lunch
