I spent a day at National Museum of Malaysia, and it was a very enjoyable and meaningful experience. The ticket price is very cheap, making it absolutely worth a visit for both locals and tourists. It offers great value for money considering how much you can learn and explore inside. I really love visiting the museum because I enjoy seeing historical items and learning the stories behind them. The exhibits give a good insight into Malaysia’s history and culture, and it was interesting to see many old artifacts up close. Overall, it was a great experience, and I truly enjoyed spending time there. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in history or cultural exploration.
Nice musuem to learn about the history of Malaysia from prehistoric to ancient civilization to colonial to modern time. Entrance fee is relatively cheap (~$1.50) for non-citizen adults. Only thing I didn't like was the crowd and many kids jumping around the exhibitions but I guess that comes with the cheap fee. Spent 1.5hours here
Very affordable entrance fee. Description of exhibits are in Malay and English. Layout was in chronological order. Great for our first day in Malaysia as a starter. Staff booted visitors out by 1650. Literally lights out and gates down. And the thunderstorm was full on outside. So, plan your time for the exit.
I was planning to skip this museum, but I'm so glad I didn't! It is beautifully curated and very modern inside. For only RM 5, it’s an absolute steal and easily the best way to learn about Malaysia’s history.
Museum Negara is a great museum to visit. The museum building itself is iconic, historic and you will feel that it’s truly Malaysian. But the museum needs a major upgrade. The central air conditioning system is not working well and Galleries C and D feel really humid. Malaysia has a very rich history - and more of these history and artefacts can be documented and displayed. Yes, it’s worth a visit.
