have been a frequent "patron" of Ilham Gallery for about 2 years now, safe to say i will continue to attend new exhibitions for the next 2 years also !! the curation of the artists and exhibitions are always mind-opening and insightful, never fails to amaze and top the previous exhibitions. major bonus points for the location is public transport accessible and it's free !!!!! if you're coming for the art, it can get a bit annoying to dodge the people who come simply to take pictures for the 'gram, so i recommend going on a weekday ! also love that they provide little leaflets for the exhibitions as a little something tangible to remember the exhibition by. the gift shop is also absolutely lovely, full of locally made trinkets, postcards, books on previous exhibitions and also is part cafe ! live, laugh, love, ilham gallery

Beautiful external tower's facade. Modern interior building amenities. Nice small size gallery. Admire the gallery'ss key objective to support local rising artists. Complimentary general admission.

Visited Ilham Gallery in KL and really enjoyed the experience. The gallery showcases a diverse mix of contemporary and modern art from Malaysian and regional artists, and entry is free — which makes it a great cultural stop. The space feels calm and thoughtfully curated, with rotating exhibitions that keep each visit fresh. I particularly liked exploring the different mediums on display and the well‑designed layout of the gallery. The gift shop has unique prints and art‑related items worth browsing as well. Overall, a highly recommended stop for art lovers and anyone looking for an inspiring cultural experience.

Ilham Gallery had a great range of works by Malaysian artists, and everything felt thoughtfully curated and beautifully presented. I really enjoyed both the space and the pieces on display. The mix was nice too — established names (including the weaving artist) alongside newer, budding artists, which kept the experience fresh. The gallery shop is a rabbit hole: prints, stickers, books, and all kinds of art-adjacent treasures. We went in “just to browse” and lost a full hour.
