First time here with my dad who went years ago but still remember the food tasted good. We were among the first to reach that day when it opened at 4pm weekdays hence no waiting. The menu is simple and clear, not loaded with many different food. And you don’t have to crack your head of what to order. We ordered the crab, prawn and toast. We also got the fried chicken wing. The food tasted awesome, like superb (not sure is it I haven’t eat crab for some time but it is good for sure). The sauce for the crab is sweet sour spicy which we ate with crunchy toast. The crab wasn’t cracked like in most restaurant hence we were given one crab cracker and one crab mallet (no picks or bibs) so be ready to get your hands dirty and messy and loud. The prawn with garlic is very nice too! It is the 明虾 which I loved! For drinks we got the lemonade and sugarcane. They have beer too. Will definitely be back when in town and yes I highly recommend you to try this! From what I heard it is usually very packed during weekends.

Fried Rice was on point with wok hei. Fried garlic prawns were fresh and very tasty. Soy sauce snapper was fresh, but somewhat a bit heavy on the ginger and over salty sauce. Sweet and sour crabs were unique on the Assam-y kind of sourness well balanced with chilli and sweetness. The only bad about this crab dish was as we come to the last piece, one was not fresh. This last piece to make up the weight we ordered ruined the fine dish.

Found this place online and the reviews were so good that we decided to visit with the family. They don’t take reservations—only walk-ins. We went on a Sunday at 5:30 pm. Since there was a night market and it was raining, parking was a bit difficult to find. There was a short queue when we arrived, but seating was arranged quite quickly. They assign tables only when your whole group has arrived or is about to arrive. We were seated upstairs with air-conditioning. The menu has limited options—mainly crabs, tiger prawns, fish, fried rice, toast (not the mini fried buns usually served with crab), and grilled chicken wings from the stall below (RM10 per pair). We ordered 5 kati of crab at RM400/3kg and added RM50 for bigger crabs. I overlooked their signature sweet-sour-spicy flavor; it was very tasty, but too spicy for the children. So we ordered another 3 kati/1.8kg at RM240—standard size, steamed flavor, and both versions were juicy and delicious. We also had M-size prawns at RM110/600g—about 12 pieces—and they were tasty as well. The only downside for me was the toast; I would’ve preferred the typical mini buns. If you plan to order Chinese tea, I recommend getting the RM1 glass (non-refillable) instead of RM3 per person (refillable), as the RM1 glass is already quite big. They also provide wet tissues with additional charges, but you can bring your own and request for them to cancel it. The environment is clean, the staff are friendly, and the prices are reasonable. A great place for crab lovers—come early if you want a shorter queue.

Honestly, this place was a big letdown. The crab, which should have been the highlight, didn’t taste fresh at all and was quite disappointing. Plus, for this price, no glove provided. Even at the 10 rm durian will provide glove. The steamed fish was completely over cooked, which should be essential for steam fish. The taste is not Teochew traditional way at all and the portion didn’t look like 800g, and yet they charge us 75rm. Should have shown us and agree on the portion before since it calculates on grams What made the experience worse was the attitude of the staff — they came across as rude and unhelpful. Push us to order asap and make us feel like they want us to order the options they want , not the options customer want. Also, didn’t ask us how much spicy level which is an option on the menu. For the price we paid, we expected much better quality and service. Definitely not worth it, and I won’t come back. The only positive is the chicken wings, freshly fried, but it is not from them lol.

The crabs are fresh and sweet sour sources taste good. Its a steamed crabs. Either you can have it original steamed crabs or top up with the unique taste spicy sources. Expected to wait in line during dinner time.
