All the dish were amazing!!! Great service. It is very popular restaurant and we were only able to make reservation for lunch. When we arrived, I saw sign it is fully booked so I guess there is no walk in availability. Restaurant felt like it was a cave and had many drawings on the wall kids were interested. Waiter told me it was German painter owner likes. We ordered Pierogi, stew, duck, cheesecake and strawberry cake and all are super super good!!!!!! Duck was so soft and really went good with cranberry sauce. I always have duck everywhere I go in France but this duck I had in Krakow was actually the best one 😆 Stew was so soft you don’t need knife. Kids loved pierogi they refused to share with me so I do not know how it was but they ate it so quick which tells me how good it was 😅 Waitress was super nice and so knowledgeable. My husband was asking her so many questions😱about painting, origin of the restaurant, how their volka made etc but she answered all the question with confidence. Food were served very quick within 15min and price were all very reasonable.
The best steak tartare we have had. So lucky to get in, managed to get the last booking of the day and we absolutely enjoyed the experience and the traditional Polish food. Amazing food! We’ll definitely come back the next time we come to visit Krakow.
It was insanely good food, we can’t stop thinking about it ! and the staff is soooo nice. I booked the reservation for my husband’s birthday and they gifted him a small bottle of vodka but since we don’t drink they gave him a postal card of the restaurant instead, so nice of them 🥰
For me, this is probably the best restaurant I've found in Krakow. The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were quite generous. The staff was very kind and professional, making the dining experience even better. I truly enjoyed the taste of the dishes. I would have definitely come back if I had the opportunity, but it's quite difficult to reserve a table here, and I can completely understand why that's the case.
The restaurant has a warm, intimate atmosphere and booking ahead is recommended. That said, the food makes it completely worthwhile, especially the duck breast, which was tender, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Definitely worth a visit!
