We spent a night here to celebrate my father’s birthday, and it was a truly flawless experience. The hotel is breathtaking, it captures those beautiful, 'Old Jerusalem' vibes perfectly while feeling incredibly luxurious. Our rooms were spacious and the service from the moment we arrived was top-notch. On our second day, we hosted a surprise party for my father in one of the hotel’s venues. The food was delicious, and the staff was so kind and proactive, making sure every detail was handled. They turned a special occasion into an unforgettable one. Huge thank you to the whole team!

I absolutely loved it. Even though it was in East Jerusalem, I felt very safe walking to the old city. The people there were just so wonderful to us and the food was great. The room that they gave us was absolutely gorgeous

Surprisingly quiet on a Monday lunchtime I was a little worried that we were the only table (other guests arrived later), but the food is fresh and tasty. The sea bream is perfectly seared with a crispy skin. Delicious by itself and the sauce is very lovely (I want to learn it! Buttery but not heavy, with a citrusy hint.) Lamb cutlet is tender and not too fatty.. The mint pea puree is on the dry side but lovely for me. The calamari is well seasoned, and the muharamma is huge XD I always consider it as a dip but it comes as a bed haha (or red sea) I ate too much bread because of this… the walnut texture can be stronger tho. Friendly but not intrusive service (cheers Mustafa). Nice oud music in the backgroud. Will be back for sure :>

I come to Jerusalem regularly and have stayed at a number of five star hotels including king David. The American Colony is far and away my favorite hotel to stay in. It’s a luxury boutique hotel. Unlike other luxury hotels it actually has personality and charm. In spades. The grounds are magical, with fruit trees and wisteria and a classic ottoman courtyard with trees and a fountain much like a Moroccan Riad. The rooms are stunning. Some of them have 12 foot ceilings and are huge. The service here is warm and personal, quite opposite the luxury hotels on the western side. The breakfast is lovely and can be personalized to your taste. The cellar bar is one of the coolest I’ve been to. In short: you shouldn’t think twice about trying to stay here. They fill up, especially in the high seasons but it is so worth it if you can get a room here.

We loved our stay at The American Colony Hotel Jerusalem. We visited over Christmas Eve through the day after Christmas. The staff were especially fantastic. Mouayad Khader the front office assistant manager was extremely helpful with our changes in our bookings and setting up transportation and tours. We met Yousef, the concierge and Diana at the front desk and the bellman, who were always friendly and ready to assist. Our transportation driver, Mahmoud was also telling us about the area on our drive to/from the airport and to Bethlehem on Christmas Eve. He also introduced us to Mohammad, an excellent guide in Bethlehem. We highly recommend the hotel for their caring demeanor and the cleanliness of the hotel. We will definitely visit again.
