We had a wonderful stay at the Hermitage Hotel Jakarta. The building itself is stunning — a historic property from the late 1920s beautifully transformed into a modern luxury hotel while preserving its original character. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and everything felt elegant and well maintained. The food was excellent, and the breakfast offered a great variety with high quality options. Service was attentive and professional throughout our stay. The only small downside was that the TV in the room felt a bit small for such a large space. Overall, a fantastic experience and we would happily stay here again.

The Hermitage Menteng feels like a serene hidden gem in the middle of Jakarta, elegant, quiet, and thoughtfully curated. The room is exceptionally spacious and beautifully maintained, offering both comfort and a sense of calm the moment you step inside. Breakfast was a lovely experience; the Norwegian smoked salmon was fresh and flavorful, and the cappuccino was rich and perfectly balanced, a wonderful start to the morning. The restaurant staff were genuinely warm and attentive, which created a heartfelt connection beyond service alone. Another standout detail was the toiletries, the fragrance of the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash carries a refined Indonesian signature scent, gentle, comforting, and luxurious. A stay that leaves a lasting impression, not only because of its beauty, but because it makes you feel genuinely cared for. A perfect urban sanctuary ✨✨✨

Excellent value and services. Impeccable services by the staff, specifically the staff on duty during breakfast and the housekeeping, they are terrific! The room itself, while classically styled, is very well maintained and is pretty amply sized. Location is excellent, the neighbor itself is calm while still being centrally located.

Had a wonderful stay at The Hermitage Jakarta. The staff were extremely helpful and kind, especially Hana (Front Office). They responded very quickly when we had an issue with the bathroom curtain, it was handled efficiently and professionally. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety, and the location is very convenient and quiet. Overall, a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

What a disappointment. We were really looking forward to our stay at this hotel, but unfortunately the experience fell short. When we arrived after check-in time, our room wasn’t ready and we were simply told to wait, with no guidance or apology. We made our way to the executive lounge on our own and ordered a coffee and a tea. The tea was served iced, and since iced tea isn’t included in the lounge package, we were asked to pay for it — which we politely declined. The suite itself was nice, but details were clearly overlooked: the shower was leaking slightly and there was a noticeable burn mark on the carpet. The executive lounge was acceptable — decent food and good drinks, though portions were not particularly generous. On a positive note, “La Vue” is definitely worth a visit, with good service and reasonably priced drinks. Breakfast was the highlight of the stay: truly excellent and faultless. The pool area is also quite pleasant. Checkout was smooth, but things went downhill when we returned later to collect our luggage. A wedding was taking place and the entire area felt chaotic. It took an unreasonably long time for staff to locate our bags, and we felt more like an inconvenience than guests. No one offered to help with our heavy suitcases, while our chauffeur had to circle the block twice waiting for us. Overall, the hotel looks nice at first glance, but once you pay attention, the wear and tear is obvious — cracked windows, tired paint, and a general lack of attention to detail. Service was disappointing throughout, especially compared to much cheaper hotels in Jakarta where we’ve experienced far better hospitality. The staff’s limited English was also surprising for a five-star property. In the end, this hotel is simply not worth the price
