It was Olafur Eliasson' exhibit at the time. Very calm and peaceful, the staffs are helpful and knowledgeable about the ongoing exhibit. Personally not into modern art, but some of them are genuinely inspiring (I guess?). The collections were limited, but each are made to be grand and be the centerpiece. I do wish there were more detailed information on the signs, or something that tells a story implicitly. Again, perhaps not my cup of tea, but it was worth coming for the ambiance. Excellent for couples / groups who love taking photos. Each corner can be a photo spot.
more to “exhibition” than museum, tho the placements of everything is very well planned, better to go in pair, as I was informed that the staffs are not allowed to take photos. The best part is, if you ask ANY staff about the exhibition, they can elaborate it very briefly and in interesting tone and stories.
Worth of visit but the place quite small. Each season/ year they have different exhibition. Happy to see this kind of place exist in Jakarta. Even kids can enjoy this kind of place. I know nothing, but this place bring happiness. Ticket is not so affordable, so prefer to go at weekdays
I really enjoyed my visit to Museum MACAN! The exhibitions were inspiring, the space was beautifully curated, and the atmosphere made the whole experience memorable. Bener2 gak nyesel dateng kesini dan liat langsung berbagai art disana. I would love to come again for the next art exhibition✨
Visiting Olafur Eliasson’s exhibition felt calm and grounding. Instead of just looking at the artworks, I felt like I was moving through them. Noticing how light, space, and small shifts in perspective changed the experience. The installations made me slow down and be more present, which felt refreshing in a very subtle way. I left feeling quieter and more aware, reminded that art doesn’t always have to be loud to be impactful. In the end, the exhibition feels less about the installations themselves and more about awareness of yourself, others, and the environment. It’s thoughtful and calming, perfect for anyone who likes art that makes you pause and reflect.
