As a tourist in Jaipur, this restaurant has delivered exactly the experience and taste of local ingredients that I was focusing on trying while travelling. Specifically the dal makhani is delectable, it has an appropriate viscosity and spice level and exceeds my expectations. This says a lot since I am homebased in a location with a major Indian population. The service is adequate and the pistachio ice cream is unexaggeratedly the most refreshing dessert I have consumed. I acquired it multiple times at this location. Thank you.
We had a great experience. The service was excellent, and we felt well taken care of. We ordered the dumplings and the kebab, and although they were a bit spicy for us, they were delicious. For dessert, we had the gulab jamun, which was also very tasty. It was a real treat to sit close to the musicians on the terrace, enjoying the candlelight atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Amazing rooftop restaurant above Hotel Pearl Palace. We had dinner yesterday and breakfast this morning and have to say the food is some of the best we’ve had in India. The cocktails are divine, the house infused vanilla and coffee gin is one of a kind. I need to try and make some when I go home 😁😁 Service was good. Most of the staff are really great but one girl last night looked like she didn’t want to be there ☹️
Peacock has a lovely atmosphere and a varied menu, but unfortunately the experience didn’t fully live up to the effort it took to dine there. I reached out via WhatsApp two weeks in advance to arrange a reservation. The message was pinned but never answered. After following up, there was still no response. I tried again the day before our intended visit and received a reply asking for details I had already provided. After sending them again, I heard nothing further. The restaurant itself has a great aesthetic and a fun rooftop vibe. We arrived at 7 pm, were able to order drinks, and then were essentially forgotten. Around 7:40 pm we had to flag someone down to place our food order and remind them about water. We tried several dishes: nadru chips, malai broccoli, curry chicken bao, safad murg, and mutton nihari. Everything was good, and the nadru chips were especially memorable, but nothing truly exceptional. Overall, it was a pleasant setting with decent food, but the stress around reservations and service outweighed the value for us.
We loved this restaurant, it became our regular dinner spot during our stay in Jaipur at the Pearl Palace. The atmosphere is very pleasant with a beautiful patio and live traditional music. The menu offers creative indian and european fusion cuisine (like mutton spaghetti bolognese with straciatella, lamb and butternut risotto, portobello shepherd’s pie, all delicious). Great cocktail menu, and we discovered an excellent indian red wine, which honestly was as good as some french Bordeaux wine!
