I recently visited Handi Restaurant and had a good overall experience. The Lal Maas was nicely spicy, with whole Mathania mirch in the gravy which gave it an authentic Rajasthani touch. The mutton pieces had slightly less meat than expected, but the overall taste was still very satisfying. The tandoori roti was fresh and slightly bready, with a nice wheat flavor that paired well with the curry. The mixed raita was well-seasoned and balanced the spice perfectly. The atmosphere was really pleasant, making it a comfortable place to dine. Prices are on the medium to high side, but you can also enjoy drinks there, which adds to the experience. Service was quick and the staff were polite. Overall, a good place to try Lal Maas in Jaipur.

During my recent trip to Jaipur, I had the opportunity to dine at the famous Handi Restaurant on MI Road, right in the heart of the city. Known for its authentic Rajasthani cuisine, this restaurant had been on my list for a while, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Junglee Maas. Prepared in rich desi ghee and packed with traditional flavors, it was so delicious that I ended up ordering a second serving. The meat was tender, aromatic, and beautifully cooked, making it one of the best versions of this classic Rajasthani dish I have tasted. The Lal Maas was equally impressive, offering the perfect balance of heat and spice that Rajasthan is famous for. To accompany the curries, we ordered tandoori rotis, which were fresh, soft, and had a pleasant wheat flavor that complemented the rich gravies perfectly. The mixed raita was well-seasoned and refreshing, helping to balance the spice levels of the meal. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for both tourists and locals. Although the prices are on the medium-to-higher side, the quality of food, quick service, courteous staff, and availability of drinks make the experience worthwhile. If you're visiting Jaipur and want to explore authentic Rajasthani flavors, Handi Restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

Good and authentic place to dine. Tried Laal Maas which was very spice but had good taste. Other things taste good as well. Ambience is good. Rooftop available. Must try.

"One of the best restaurants in Jaipur serving signature Rajasthani non-vegetarian dishes such as Laal Maas and Junglee Maas. The food here is soul-satisfying and flavorful, the ambience is simple, and the hospitality is excellent." Food: I got their Laal Maas and Bajra Roti as well as Junglee Maas. All of them were delicious. Laal Maas: Must try! Quite spicy but lip-smacking. The mutton pieces are so tender and fall-off-the-bone. Goes so well with Bajra Roti which by itself is so soft and flaky. Junglee Maas: Another must try! It's so simple in terms of the number of ingredients yet so delicious. The mutton pieces are wonderfully tender, they literally melt on your tongue, and you can taste a lot of ghee as well. Cooked in ghee and minimal spices like mathania red chillies, it's so simple yet so effective. Ambience/Atmosphere: Simple and gets the job done. Not too over-the-top. Service: Really nice. Very helpful staff, they suggested me to first complete the Junglee Maas instead of Laal Maas as Laal Maas would be fine even if it loses heat but Junglee Maas is best had hot. Overall, a must-visit restaurant in Jaipur if you wish to try Rajasthani non-vegetarian signature dishes such as Laal Maas and Junglee Maas.
