Good lunch spot, but feels like a tourist trap We visited this restaurant for lunch and decided to try their signature dish, Grilled Meatballs (despite the name, they’re not really in ball shape). The meat was tender and juicy, and overall it was enjoyable. However, to my personal taste, it seemed like baking soda may have been used to make the meat extra tender, which slightly affected the flavour. Considering the pricing and overall experience, it felt more like a tourist trap than a place locals would visit regularly. It could be better if the meatballs were presented in a more attractive way, as the presentation was quite basic. Decent for a quick meal, but there are probably better, more authentic options nearby.
Excellent kebabs but overpriced for no reason. We ordered one plate of lamb and one plate of beef kebabs 2 cokes with salad. Damn lamb kebab was soo good and salad was crazyy i loved it. I think they also gave us harissa we made small sandwich out of it and it tasted like heaven. The price was 2000 turkish lira honestly it was too much but it was one in lifetime experience.
I love this place. Simple classic and excellent food. I have been here multiple times throughout the years and every time I just can’t resist but to go there. The service is fast and the menu is simple. Kofte, soups and salads. The chilly paste that comes with the kofte is just something out of this world.
I was advised to eat the kofte here by my driver Jusuf who told me this was the place to go for the best Kofte. Family run for many years, very basic decor , limited menu and drinks but the Kofte was so succulent and flavoursome and really enjoyed it. Would I return there probably not only due to the limited menu but it was worth the visit.
no fuss place. good food short times quick service. the meatballs were fantastic and the peppers that came along with it were a good compliment. the fries were also great and super flavourful. the lamb came after and was not gamey at all. very clean tasting. would come back the next time i am in istanbul
