Reviews from Google
A fish sandwich that was quite disappointing despite its popularity. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Eminönü, and the service is acceptable. However, the price is clearly overpriced for what you get. The taste was not good at all, especially when compared to the fish sandwiches on the Karaköy side, which are much better and more flavorful. This place feels very tourist-oriented, relying more on its location than on real food quality.
Simple combination of baguette, onions, and mackerel. Price is 260 ₺. It doesn't taste good. If you want a proper mackerel kebab, you should go to Karakoy. This place is overrated only because of its good location.
A mackerel sandwich I remember seeing on Japanese TV a long time ago It’s made with bread I often saw in Turkish supermarkets, filled with grilled mackerel and vegetables. Salt and lemon juice are on the table Simple and absolutely delicious
We first visited this place 3 years ago, and I’ve been wanting to come back ever since! I absolutely loved the chef’s balik ekmek; it tasted so fresh that I ended up buying it twice during our 10-day holiday in Istanbul. It was very crowded, so we decided to take our food to go, but I really hope we can visit again soon to enjoy the lovely seaside atmosphere while we eat.
The fish is barely noticeable, it’s mostly bread. There’s no marinade at all, so it ends up being quite flavorless. Even if the fish is fresh, it’s still not enough. For this price and all the hype, you’d expect the food to actually have taste.
