Ruby in Ortaköy is, without doubt, the No.1 place in Istanbul. We were truly impressed by the quality of the service, the kindness and positive energy, and of course the excellent food. The service is at the highest level, professional and genuinely warm, making you feel welcome from the very first moment. What makes Ruby truly special is also the smooth transformation from a classy, elegant restaurant into a vibrant and stylish club one level below. The transition feels natural and sophisticated. All of this comes with breathtaking views towards the Bosphorus Bridge and the iconic Ortaköy Mosque. An outstanding venue that perfectly combines gastronomy, atmosphere and nightlife.

Maybe we expected to much but we didn’t have a the best experience at the Ruby. The service was almost parisian - hurrying you to finish, emptying the table as soon as you finish, giving weird looks if you don’t take starter-main-dessert. Except for the people working in the cloackroom who were helpful and nice! The food was good but nothing extraordinary. It’s a discreet and posh spot with a nice view on the river. Overall mid experience
