We tried a mix of hot and cold starters, including the mussels with rice, the fish borek, and the marinated sea bass. All the dishes were delicious, especially the mussels with rice, which we loved the most. We were also provided with plenty of breads and olives. So, the three starters made us pretty full. The restaurant staff were nice and friendly. Loved the restaurant ambience too! Prices were decent, but I would have appreciated if I was informed in advance that they would charge for water and table service.
What an incredible restaurant! We first came here six years ago to celebrate my parents’ wedding anniversary, and returned today for a birthday, and it was just as special. The food is fantastic, and the staff are genuinely warm and attentive. We were told that some team members have been working here for over 20 years, which really speaks to the quality and consistency. A true must-visit!
Was skeptical about this place at the start, but when we arrived it felt like a 60s italian mob restaurant (no offence, we loved it). The waiters were dressed in bowties and the menu was straightforward and easy to order. We got the calamari (best dish), marinated sea bass, haddock and some other smaller sides. We really enjoyed the mussel rice too The fish, even though fried, was clean, fresh and very delicious. One of the most enjoyable meals in turkey for us.
The variety and quality of both appetizers and main courses were really good. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. However, I had a scary and unpleasant experience while dining. A very important guest, apparently a famous person in Istanbul, was seated near me. One of the waiters, trying to be attentive, ran to light their cigarette and accidentally bumped our table, knocking over a water bottle. It was quite frightening. On top of that, since it was winter, everyone was smoking inside the covered space, which made the atmosphere very uncomfortable and unhealthy. The food was excellent, but I hope the staff can be more careful and enforce proper rules regarding smoking indoors.
The bluefish here was genuinely outstanding almost Japanese in quality. The mezze were equally impressive, and the mussels with rice had the flavors of Medici Ahmets famous street snack , though presented in a far more refined setting. As for the Service , it was flawless
