We had an amazing experience at Ali Ocakbaşı Karaköy. The customer service was exceptional, warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and clearly prepared with care. You can truly taste the quality in every bite. The ambiance elevated the entire experience, complemented by a stunning view of Galata Bridge, making the atmosphere even more memorable. It is the perfect spot for both relaxed dining and special occasions. I highly recommend it and would definitely come back again.
As a Turk, I’ve had many many meals in Istanbul and if you want every dish of your dinner to blow you away, I would recommend coming here. Take the many stairs up and order the Beyti kebab and hummus with pastırma. Thank me later. Prepare for the freshest most delicious meal of your life!!
Great experience. If you would like to have top-notch Turkish cousine and great service sparkled with stunning views - it is place to go. Food is simply delicious (we took starters and kebabs for main), service is fast ( 5 min to deliver starters, wine and some local stories) and view just wow (check pics). Separate note on local wine (great quality even for picky Barcelonians). Our waiter Turkesh was super great jokes, service, suggestions and genuine care. Worth to book for your visit.
This place was a treasure hunt to find but well worth it. The best food, service, view we have had in Istanbul. I wish we had more people so that we could have ordered more. We had two people and shared the kabaklama, girit ezme, and a lamb kebab and a delicious dessert.
Food, service, ambiance, and the view - everything was great. Reservations are recommended (especially if you want good views), but we got lucky and they squeezed us in. We had baba ganoush and girit ezme mezes. Beyti and saslyk kebabs for main course. A nice glass of Sarafin, Cabernet Sauvignon to pair w/ delicious mezes and meats. A cup of tea is always a good idea. If you still have room, I heard their katmer is good. Afiyet olsun!
