I am giving this hotel 5 stars, not because it’s a luxury 5-star establishment with a concierge, but because it is exceptional for its price point. It is a small, boutique hotel that feels incredibly cosy and offers everything you need without the hefty price tag. I stayed in the Deluxe King bedroom and especially loved the shower room—the water pressure is great, and they provide shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and even body lotion for this room type. The entire place was spotless and towels were provided. The receptionist was attentive and efficient; check-in and requests were handled very quickly. Note on Amenities: Keep in mind that toothbrushes, toothpaste, and bottled water are charged extra. However, the tap water is clean and safe to drink, so you can easily skip the extra cost. The location is a food lover's dream—the street is full of eateries serving everything from breakfast to late-night supper. Pro-Tip: The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk to the train station - Tim Hau 天后. If you are coming from the airport, take a taxi after the Airport Express. I don’t recommend switching to the MTR with luggage because the station has no lift, and a taxi is affordable enough to save you the struggle!
Guy, at the main desk is friendly and very helpful. Rooms are small but right size for two. Very modern and tasteful with everything necessary for comfortable stay. Service is good but minimal. Appreciate the tips and welcome letter provided. No visible signage or door person to greet guests and you have to bring luggage up one level. If you have a lot of luggage or any mobility issues the entry here is challenging, star off for that. You have to know what building you are looking for as it is hardly lit, no street parking and has no visible signage. A luggage cart would be nice. Location is ideal. Dozens of various restaurants all within 5 minutes walking distance. The overpass makes for great visual aid in finding you way back to the hotel. If does feel lonely as you never really encounter staff or other guests. So if you are introvert or like being alone this is the hotel for you.
Sooo happy I found this hotel last minute for my 6 nights in HK. Location is only 3 mins walk to Tin Hau station and 3 mins walk to the waterfront promenade - one of the prettiest routes I ever ran on. The room even looks better than the photos and is kept spotless by housekeeping every day. Thanks Don!! Compared to other HK hotels, Tuve is such a steal, super affordable price for such a spacious, beautifully designed room + bathroom. I was lucky to stay on the top floor with a view of the city and water. I would definitely stay here again whenever I get the chance to be in HK.
I’ve visited Hong Kong several times, so this trip I decided to stay in a non-touristy area and came across TUVE, a stylish find with great reviews on both Agoda and Google. Although new to Tin Hau, Google Maps was spot on; the hotel is about a 5‑minute walk from Tin Hau MTR. The location is strategic for both leisure and business travelers, just 10 minutes from East Coast Park Precinct - a peaceful spot to enjoy the sunset and meet locals walking their dogs or fishing. Tuve is also close to North Point, known for its local markets and iconic trams passing through. Contrary to the stereotype that Hongkongers are always in a rush, I met genuinely kind and friendly people in this neighborhood. Around the hotel, you’ll find plenty of eateries serving roasted meats, dim sum, wonton noodles, local desserts, and a 7‑Eleven. Unlike tourist-heavy areas, restaurants here rarely have long queues, so getting a seat is easy. There are also two bars nearby - one opposite and one beside the hotel. Couples or group travelers may prefer the Deluxe or Premier rooms, but solo travelers will find the Comfort Room more than sufficient. I stayed in a Comfort Room, which maximizes space through futuristic and minimalist design - clearly a thoughtful effort from both the designer and the management. The room rate is very competitive, though amenities like toothbrush and toothpaste aren’t provided, so you can bring or buy them nearby. The room includes a minibar, mini fridge, hairdryer, hot kettle, and my favorite - a soft bathrobe perfect for post‑shower lounging. The bed and pillows are of excellent quality, comparable to five‑star hotels. The hotel smells pleasant, feels spotless, and I had no problems with cleanliness or bedbugs (a major relief!). Note that reception is located on Level 1, which may correspond to Level 2 in other countries, since the ground floor here is marked as “G.” Tuve keeps things minimal - there’s no gym, pool, or coin laundry - likely a management choice to maintain its competitive pricing. Having researched beforehand, this didn’t bother me. Some negative reviews feel unfair; I personally experienced great service. When I indicated a privacy preference for room cleaning, the janitor even called to confirm. The next day, they left a handwritten note acknowledging my choice. The staff were always friendly and professional, and check‑in/check‑out was quick and efficient, perfectly in line with Tuve’s minimalist concept. Overall, my stay at Tuve Hotel was superb, which is a calming, modern hideaway in a local part of Hong Kong.
Great rooms, comfortable beds, nice shower with fresh towels. We couldn’t ask for anything else had a great stay. Great food near by, and shopping is a 15 minute walk through the park.
