We stayed at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong in July 2025 and had an exceptional experience. The hotel blends sleek modern luxury with impeccable service. Our room was spacious, stylish, and incredibly comfortable, with stunning city views. The dining options were excellent, offering a range of delicious cuisines. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Central, close to shopping and attractions. Overall, a truly memorable stay that exceeded our expectations.
The Infinity Cake cost $420 and it doesn’t worth it at all. First, the portion of the cake is relatively small. Second, the service is so bad. No candle is given. The packaging is so low-class that the cake can easily fell off, and you would eventually thought you are buying maxim’s cake
Although the Mandarin Oriental Landmark is currently closed for stays due to renovations, the restaurants and mall are still open for business. I took the opportunity to dine at Amber, one of the hotel's renowned restaurants, and it was truly an amazing experience. The food was exquisite, with each dish expertly crafted and presented. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure every need was met. If you're looking for a great dining experience in the area, I would highly recommend Amber at Mandarin Oriental Landmark. Even though the hotel itself is closed for renovations, the restaurants are still worth visiting. Looking forward to seeing the hotel's new look after the renovations are complete!
The MO HK is the original. Not just the original MO but the original benchmark setter for what good looks like. For those is your old enough to remember Whickers World there was a statement that the MO HK has anticipated it, prepared it and delivered it before you even thought of it. Michael Groll who has been and remains the standard bearer here as hotel manager has done a tremendous job. There is literally nothing to criticize or fault about this hotel. This is the operating model from day one and remains as valid today as it did back then. Oscar Wilde said when. A man tires of London he tires of life. I would suggest that when this situation arises a brief respite in the MO HK is the tonic of the day. Preferably with a perfectly poured gin. If you can. Just go.
What my family and I thought was purely a business trip stay over 3 nights turned out to be a memorable affair for us - so much so that us, including our son, is saddened to hear of the closure and gutting out of the hotel over the coming 1 year +. It was surreal to know that the existing hotel is around 18 years old (if we have our facts accurate), as it is very well maintained from the main areas , to rooms we stayed in and including the facilities we have enjoyed using (mainly the gym, swimming pool). The icing on the cake was the friendliness of the members of this hotel, whom went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a memorable one. It was so memorable that we have had difficulty in saying our goodbyes, especially knowing that our planned return to this hotel sometime closer to the end of this year or early parts of next year that it will not be opened, but especially that we will not be seeing these members of this Mandarin Oriental. To name a few of course Paula, Henry and other members, and also to Cherry whom made sure we were properly welcomed and brilliantly sent off, but also to the first persons we always see - John and Wayne. The rainy weather did not dampen our spirits as it was such pleasantry to see smiley faces the minute we walked into the hotel. The gym and pool members also deserved a mentioned - but unfortunately did not quite catch their names but they were superb in ensuring that we were comfortable and that we enjoyed ourselves. The 3 nights we spent went extremely quick - and it it a lot to do with how enjoyable and comfortable our stay was. We will definitely continue staying with Mandarin Oriental and hope to see the continuity of the exceptional level of service shown at the Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong.
