This was my favorite vegan restaurant during my stay in Hong Kong! I went once for dinner and once for dim sum in the morning and loved it both times. I brought four non vegan colleagues with me, and they all said the food was delicious. I would come back to Hong Kong just to eat it again. Dinner (4 people): Braised eggplants Sweet and sour pork Veggie goose Tofu cubes Stir fried flat rice noodles + 1 rice bowl per person Morning dim sum (2 people): Golden veggie dumplings Mushroom rice noodle rolls Mushroom Siu Mai Veggie dumplings in spicy sauce
We had late lunch at Veggie Kingdom (Causeway Bay). We made a reservation online without any issues: nice atmosphere with pleasant seatings. Food is very yummy vegetarian food ( different varieties of dumplings, fried etc). The staffs are prompt and attentive. Overall we are happy with our visits.
Awesome experience overall! We went fir an early dinner around 6.45 pm on a sunday. As we didn't have reservations, we were asked to sit inside if we could finish the dinner by 7.30 otherwise to sit in the outdoor section. The outdoor section though nice was little noisy due to the surrounding. So we chose to sit inside. Food was delicious, portion size was quite good and ambience relaxed. All the dishes we ordered were very tasty. We loved the Dan Dan noodles, fried tofu and the stir fried tofu and mushrooms with Sichuan - hot, spicy and simply delicious with thick pieces of tofu! Service was not bad. The mango dessert was simply outstanding in taste and presentation. We were offered Jasmine tea. They charge 15 hkd per person for tea during dinner and 10 % service charges. Definitely a must visit even if you are not a pure vegetarian.
I recently visited the new Causeway Bay location of Veggie Kingdom, a charming plant-based Chinese restaurant that offers a delicious twist on traditional dim sum. 🌿 The atmosphere is inviting and uniquely designed, making it the perfect spot for a cozy meal with friends or family. Thanks to a friend’s recommendation, I couldn’t wait to try their award-winning dishes! Here’s a look at what I indulged in: 🍛 Signature Curry Pot - A flavorful fusion of spices that warms the soul. 🥟 Pan-Fried Veggie Potstickers - Crispy on the outside and bursting with savory goodness inside. 🍤 Nostalgic Shrimp Toast - A unique plant-based take on a classic that brings back fond memories! 🌰 Mushroom Char Siu Cheong - Delightfully smoky and satisfying, you won’t miss the meat! 🥟 Veggie Soup Dumplings - These little parcels are filled with rich broth, each bite is an experience in itself. 🍜 Sichuan Dan Dan Huai Shan Noodles - The perfect balance of heat and flavor, these noodles are a must-try! 🍮 Signature Mango Pudding - A sweet, refreshing way to end the meal! I absolutely loved everything and left feeling satisfied and inspired by the creativity of plant-based cuisine. 🌟 If you’re looking for tasty vegetarian options that are anything but boring, I highly recommend visiting Veggie Kingdom!
We ordered Veggie Fish Filet in Sour Spicy Sichuan Soup, Organic Tomatoes and Wonton in Great Soup, Pan Fried Veggie Dumplings, and Mushroom Siu Mai. Each dish was very good. We also ordered jasmine tea ($24) which was good as well. We couldn't finish one of the soups, and we were charged $3 for a to-go container, which in fairness was more substantial than most to-go containers. The initial server indicated we would have to hustle to finish by 4pm when they closed, as we got there at 3:05. It would've helped if we didn't have to wait nearly 15 minutes for someone to finally notice my hand up, to take our order. And we still got up from the table just before 4. Part of this was my fault for showing up just under an hour before closing time. But the slow service exacerbated the issue, and put a damper on the experience. We would return if we were in the area. Food was still solid.
