A reliable stop in Sheung Wan rather than a destination in its own right. The mushroom noodles were solid and well made, if not particularly memorable, and the seasonal vegetables did the job. Service was professional and direct — efficient without any fuss. Good for a quick, decent bite in the neighbourhood. Don’t go in expecting to be wowed and you won’t be disappointed.
Came to eat around 11:30am and it was empty. The wonton noodles and the beef brisket was great. It had a bouncy texture and the beef brisket was super tender. Service was great and it was clean. A bit expensive in my opinion for the portion size but I guess it is more of a Hong Konger thing.
Despite a long queue for both wanton shops, we opted for Mak's. Their wanton noodles was my personal favourite. The wanton wrappers are thin. Noodles are springy and take on the broth flavour. The broth has a mild yet pronounced shrimp flavour. Also tried the beef brisket, which went down a treat! The queues move fast. The staff are very attentive and the seating is comfy.
Firstly. Very good noodles Soft tendon, delicious wanton. Then came the pork trotters. Almost wanted to order one more. Lunch time we had to share table. But thereafter, when they saw how squeezy we felt. They made space for us to another table. Greta appreciation for their attention. Highly recommended
good noodle spot 🍜 $54 hkd for shrimp and pork dumpling noodles. the portion is smaller compared to other restaurants and noodles are very al dente. the dumplings are well made and the broth is subtle but delicious. service was fast and kind. would not call this a ‘must try’ but a good spot in central for some classic dishes!
