Luk Yu Tea House 陸羽茶室 Timeless Elegance with a Side of Sesame 🫖✨ Stepping into Luk Yu Tea House feels like entering a beautifully preserved chapter of old Hong Kong. The dark wooden interiors, classic furnishings, and nostalgic charm create an atmosphere that is both refined and deeply comforting. Despite its heritage setting, everything felt clean, well-kept, and efficiently run. Service was fast, friendly, and refreshingly straightforward, the kind that makes you feel looked after without any fuss. The dim sum? Absolutely delightful. The glutinous rice wrapped in lotus leaf was fragrant and perfectly textured, while the sesame salted egg bun struck that magical balance of sweet, nutty, and savoury richness. Comfort food elevated. We visited on a Saturday brunch and had no issue walking in, no reservations needed, no dramatic queue. Just good timing and good appetite. Honestly, I don’t quite understand the lower ratings. For us, this was classic Hong Kong dining done right: heritage, heart, and excellent dim sum. Five stars, without hesitation. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I came here with a group of about 6 people. It’s an old-style traditional Central Hong Kong teahouse with plenty of dim sum and food offerings. Stepping through the door feels like a bit of time capsule, which was a cool experience. I was feeling a little under the weather so was happy to have some hot tea and dumplings in broth. Really scratched an itch and soothed the soul. Service was simple but I have no complaints, and I enjoyed the food and tea that I tried.

We went for lunch. Like the retro style of dim sum restaurant. And we also had very good service lol, like the waiter No.29, experienced and quite proactive to chat with us! Impressed for the food! Happy Lunch lol!

On 10-1-2026, 1100 hrs my wife and my friend with me went to the Restaurant. The environment was good with old style. The foods were good as old time style. The service is good. I asked the waiters if the restaurant paid them back the 10% Service charge in our bill, they replied the restaurant did not pay them 10% Service charge as both parties agreed in job interview before their employment. So we paid them extra HK$ 30 in cash for tips.
