I really wanted to love Kam’s Roast Goose, but the experience was a massive letdown. While the food is "decent," it certainly doesn't justify the logistical nightmare and the lack of respect for sit-down diners. The Service & Wait Time Expect to wait over one hour just to get a seat. Normally, a wait like that implies an incredible reward at the end, but the service here is surprisingly dismissive and rude. The staff seem more interested in rushing you through the process than providing a hospitable environment. The "Takeaway" Problem The most infuriating part of the experience was finding out that most of the signature dishes were sold out by the time we were seated. It turns out they prioritize high-volume takeaway orders over the customers who have been standing on the sidewalk for 60+ minutes. If someone commits an hour of their day to wait for a table, the restaurant should ensure a portion of the signature items is reserved for dine-in guests. It’s poor inventory management and even poorer customer service. The Food As for the main event: the Roast Goose. It was okay, but honestly? It was completely overpowered by the sauce. The delicate flavor and texture of the goose—which is what you’re paying a premium for—get lost under a heavy, salt-forward glaze.

We were here on November 20. Unfortunately, we didn't make it in time for the restaurant to open and had to wait in line for over half an hour. After we were shown to our table, we were quickly given the menu. We ordered goose legs with rice. The goose was very delicious. Is it better than Yat Lok? I would say that both are very similar. Would I come back again? Definitely!

I queued an hour before opening with a slip system that skips you if absent. Takeaway is faster, only ~5 minutes. I wanted the lower quarter, but staff steered me to the Upper Quarter Roast Goose (HKD 170) to balance demand. Portion was huge, skin thick and crisp with fatty layer, though breast meat was dry in parts. Plum sauce helped, and overall it was enjoyable and Michelin‑worthy. The Prince Kinsen Noodle (HKD 40), seasoned simply with goose drippings, was rich and umami — the perfect pairing. The Cured Goose Liver Sausages (HKD 65) came as three pieces, intensely savoury and greasy, heavy for a solo diner and very much an acquired taste. The Iced Lemonade with Honey (HKD 23) was essential to cut through the fattiness.

REVIEW NINJA’s SERVICE & FOOD ANALYSYS EXCEPTIONAL experience, exceeding expectations! Having visited numerous Michelin-rated restaurants, I found most to be overrated and underwhelming. Kam's, however, truly impressed. Here are some insights for first-time visitors: Queue Management Guests should anticipate waiting outside on the street. An employee will inquire about your party size and provide an estimated wait time, typically ranging from 30 to 60 minutes on weekdays. The queue is strictly regulated to prevent individuals from reserving multiple spots for others, ensuring fairness and efficiency. Interior Environment The dining area, as shown in the photos, is bustling and noisy, featuring traditional square wooden tables and chairs common in small establishments. Despite the limited space, the venue maintains cleanliness, and the ventilation system ensures fresh air circulation, enhancing comfort. Staff and Service The staff is notably friendly, which is uncommon in busy restaurants. Multiple employees greet guests promptly, take orders efficiently, and serve quickly. The small size and constant queue necessitate a streamlined operation, which they execute effectively, ensuring minimal wait times for service and table turnover. Food and Beverages The roast geese meet Michelin standards—perfectly cooked and seasoned. The skin is crisp without being dried, and the meat remains tender and evenly cooked. The beverage selection is modest but includes popular beer brands and soft drinks, catering to various preferences. Additional Details Payment is made at the front upon departure. Diners are allotted a one-hour dining window, sufficient for a complete meal and considerate of others waiting. The kitchen and preparation area are visible through glass, allowing guests to observe the geese being carved and prepared, adding an engaging element to the experience.

I ordered the goose. And they bring me day old goose. So different than what they had showing in the kitchen. And it was not all that way over hyped. I never trust any Michelin restaurants! They’re lucky they did not scene. Trust me, I love to eat and I know what’s good food or not! Here are photos I took while waiting in line. And a photo what they brought out! Also you never pour that type of sauce on the goose 🙄! The house soup was good thats about it! Also this was not my idea i just went along!!
