Had a really enjoyable dinner at Henry in Rosewood. The food was excellent—standouts for me were the steak tartare, crab cake, lobster bisque, and the tenderloin steak, all cooked and presented beautifully. The desserts were a highlight too; both the cheesecake and profiterole were absolutely delicious and a perfect way to end the meal. The atmosphere is stylish and lively, though it did feel a bit crowded and the noise level was on the louder side. Service was decent overall, but for a high-end restaurant at Rosewood, I felt it could have been a touch more attentive. Still, the combination of great food and vibrant setting makes Henry worth a visit if you’re looking for a memorable dining experience.
To celebrate my completion of PhD studies, we booked Henry for celebration. The service was excellent and friendly. The house made bread is soft and full of butter flavoured and we refilled twice because it is very delicious. The starter we ordered the steak tartare and crab cake. A fantastic opening to start this experience. Instead of drinking wine or champagne , the cocktails are remarkably tasty. We ordered the 1.1 kg size M7 Australian Wagyu tomahawk steak with medium rare for sharing, served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The steak is perfectly cooked with full of charcoal flavoured. The side dishes are classic and excellent quality. I highly recommend people who would like to celebrate for their special occasions and spend a wonderful night in Henry.
Went for the Dining City Restaurant Week set dinner at Henry and really enjoyed it. The appetisers were a solid start – steak tartare and smoked trout both hit the mark. Lobster bisque came out piping hot and was lovely. Then came the tenderloin, which was the highlight of the night: beautifully cooked and full of flavour. It came with some lovely mustard dips, such a great pairing. The side of thick-cut fries was a nice addition too. For dessert, the cheesecake was just average, but the profiteroles with whisky gelato were a real treat. They poured the chocolate sauce at the table, and it was rich without being heavy. Great way to end the meal~ Service was excellent – attentive and thoughtful throughout. We sat by the window, but unfortunately the view was a bit underwhelming: instead of the harbour, we were looking straight at high-rise buildings. Pity, but the food more than made up for it. Overall, a very satisfying dinner.
An unforgettable anniversary weekend lunch at Henry, Rosewood Hong Kong! The food was outstanding — from the shrimp cocktail to the perfectly grilled ribeye and New York Strip. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. Must try the side dish, sautéed mushrooms — they were incredibly fresh and added a lovely, refreshing balance to the meal! And for the service, they were so thoughtful, offering to help us cut the steak for easy sharing — a kind gesture that made our experience even more enjoyable. Henry has great food, a comfortable atmosphere, and genuinely caring service — the kind of place you can really relax and enjoy a wonderful meal together.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The food was very good, but we were a bit disappointed with the service, especially for such an expensive place in HK! We started with the bone marrow and crab cakes, which were amazing. And everything started great & the wait staff was very nice and attentive....in the beginning. We were seated at a table facing the kitchen that was prepping the starters and desserts (not the meat kitchen) and the private room to the right of our table was seated shortly after we were served our starters. After that, we saw the waitstaff only a few times, mostly as they brought drinks to the room. We had to flag down staff to order wine, refill our water (they do not leave the water on the table), order dessert, and to pay our bill. What started as a nice experience quickly changed. I understand the room was probably a VIP, but there should be staff assigned only to that room so that the rest of the tables are not forgotten about. Once that room was seated, we noticed a serious decline in service and it ruined our dinning experience. It was also made clear a number of times that we only had the table for two hours, which is fine, but we were waiting and waiting to find a server to flag down after they started to attend to the room, which was a little stressful as well. Based on the service and price, we would not go back there again. There are other restaurants in the area with amazing food and attentive staff. We were really looking forward to it, so it sad that it was not a nice experience.
