Looks good, but be prepared to be disappointed by the value of the food and especially the service . . . . Stood waiting for a table and it actually took them 10+ minutes even to juat acknowledge us . . . . There were plenty of empty tables . . . We arrived at 8:00pm on a Thursday evening. Chose our steak and received some good advice from the butcher, which was a plus point 👍 Food arrived, steaks looked good but were pretty tasteless. Ordered a nice bottle of white wine to accompany our meal. We were still eating our meal when it turned 9;00pm and were then approached and told the kitchen was closing if we wanted to order anything else, including desserts. I consider it inappropriate to do this whilst you are still eating your meal. Also at 9:00pm any service also stopped, as all the staff were focused on closing up. Our table was left with empty dishes for 40 minutes, and I was left to pour our own wine, which again for the price paid and service expected, was wholly incorrect . . Terrible service . . . And yet, when they presented me with the bill, they had still added HKD$153 service charge. If it wasn't for the fact that I was with my wife, I would have told them to remove the service charge, but I did not want to make her feel uncomfortable. Bland, expensive food, and disgusting service. If the restaurant is open until 10:00pm then I expect service until 10:00pm, and not for it to stop when the staff prioritise closing up and going home. The manager should be removed and the staff taught what customer service is. I suggest you avoid this restaurant and save your money for a restaurant and staff that deserves it . . . .
We went there to celebrate birthday. The food especially the Beef Wellington was amazing, but we had to give just four stars because we waited for 30 mins for the pasta and the main course after the appetizer. Many of the tables were waiting for that long too. We think the kitchen had some issues but that definitely ruined a bit of our mood and overall experience.
The people are very friendly and the food is very tasty. My friends and I had a very great Christmas dinner here. The children love it especially with their main dishes and desserts. Our waiter Rico provides excellent service and he also pays great attention to the children. Massive gratitude for creating a lovely Christmas experience for us. I will recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.
Visited twice while on a recent holiday to Hong Kong. The service was exceptional both times! Irene was our waitress and she went above and beyond to make a small gathering for birthday drinks into something so memorable. They organised for balloons, table settings, dessert and a gifted Polaroid photo of the table which was beyond amazing. The food was really delicious. One the first visit we only got small plates of French onion soup and beef tartare while enjoying the happy hour. Both dishes were really nice and the bottle of rose at a discounted price was heaven. The second visit we tried their butchers choice set menu. Seriously good value for money. We got a massive grazing board/charcuterie, lobster bisque and then a choice of 4 different cuts of steak along with a variety of sides and sauces. As we were a group we all got different sides and sauces to make the most of trying all they had to offer. The creamed spinach and mac and cheese was phenomenal. Overall the ambience and interior of the restaurant was very cosy and easy to chat to your group. They play older western music which sets a nice vibe. It's located inside a mall but you would never be aware as the seating is all positioned away from the entrance area. 10/10 for happy hour, drinks and group meals!
I truly believe that a restaurant experience is 50% food and 50% service, and I can confidently say that both aspects met my expectations during my visit. The food was delightful, but it was the service that made our experience truly memorable. I would like to extend a special mention to Rico and Shane, whose warmth and attention to details were commendable. They made us feel welcomed and ensured that everything was perfect. I also loved the birthday song—Filipinos truly have a wonderful talent for singing! Thank you once again for making our visit extra special. I look forward to returning soon. Cheers, Wendy
