Staying at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi is like stepping into a beautifully preserved piece of history. The hotel radiates a timeless, old-world charm that perfectly blends classic French elegance with warm Vietnamese hospitality. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere feels incredibly prestigious and nostalgic. The service here is flawless—the staff are deeply attentive, professional, and treat every guest with genuine reverence. The beautifully appointed rooms, the serene interior courtyard, and the iconic dining venues make the experience truly unforgettable. It is easy to see why this hotel is considered a true legend. A masterful display of luxury that I cannot recommend highly enough.
This Sofitel Legend hotel certainly lives up to its standard and beyond. The room was absolutely amazing, as were the staff and Majordome (shout out to An). We had Club Lounge access and it was a blessed respite from the heat of the day to be able to come back to the hotel and rest with afternoon tea and cocktail hour. Certainly brought down the heart rate. The service staff (in particular Minh and Tommy Linh) were fabulous, very friendly, efficient and just wonderful hosts. This hotel is beautiful, with a very interesting historical tour of the premises (and bunker). Definitely worth a revisit. Also a big thank you to Chief Concierge Da/Za for her hospitality too.
A magnificent stay and impeccable service We had a superb stay at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi. A big thank you to all the staff for their professionalism at every level; the service truly lives up to the hotel's reputation. We also very much appreciated the comfort and charm of our beautiful suite located in the Heritage Wing. A special thank you goes to Ms. Hiền Hoàng from the concierge desk, who showed exemplary professionalism and responsiveness in assisting us. I would also like to congratulate the breakfast team: the buffet was an absolute delight, as beautiful to look at as it was delicious to eat! In a purely constructive spirit, I would like to share two small areas for improvement. It would be highly appreciated if the soft drinks in the minibar were included in the room rate, a thoughtful touch that is standard in most establishments of this category. Additionally, it would be a great idea to reserve some seating on the terrace specifically for hotel guests. These minor details in no way tarnish our experience, which remains truly memorable. Thank you again to the entire team for this beautiful Vietnamese getaway!
Sofitel Legend Metropole is luxury at its finest. The building looks elegant as you drive up. It's the staff in this hotel that make it exceptional and the service is both professional and friendly. As a Diamond Accor member we were upgraded to a suite in the heritage wing. Beautifully appointed room with little touches of luxury everywhere. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff throughout the hotel. From front desk, front door and throughout all dining areas (especially Ms Jane at breakfast), the staff are always smiling and ready to help. Ms Giao Nguyen and our majordome Ms Flower and Ms Dung made us feel welcomed as friends rather than guests. A memorable stay.
Sofitel Legend Hanoi is absolutely stunning. I’ve stayed at 100s of hotels in my life and this was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The hotel is immaculate and staff are wonderful. This is truly a luxury experience you won’t forget. You even get a butler service for rooms above a certain category. They also do tours of the hotel’s history and underground bunkers. We will be back again for sure.
