So… it’s probably run by a cult, but it was some of the best food I had in Vietnam 😅 Try the Bahn Xeo, it was AMAZING, I couldn’t get enough. Service super super friendly as well. They did have the ‚Supreme Master TV‘ playing the whole time but if you don’t pay attention to it the vibe isn’t too weird.
Really nice restaurant. Suitable for those who don't eat animal products. I ordered tofu, I think it was too oily, but anyway it was delicious and I would come back here again. The restaurant is quiet, and the woman is very nice.
Com Chay was the 2nd loving hut we visited in Hanoi. The weather was chilly and we ordered a Thai hotpot. Fragrant and delicious with spices, mushrooms, veggies and noodles. The portions were huge. Excellent value for money. Also ordered the mackerel with five spices dish as well. It was nice. The owner doesn’t speak English but she’s very friendly. She also sells vegan products like vegan coffee and plant-based meats.
Great vegan menu, lots of traditional Vietnamese and Asian dishes that normally have meat have been made vegan. We loved the sweet and sour 'ribs' and the tofu salad, and the lemonade. You'll have to look for the yellow Com Chay sign on the roadside as the actual shop is down an alleyway off the road. Small restaurant is attended by nice ladies.
The food was really good a specially loved the soup! Really nice service, located in a small alley.
