Visited Hanoi with family for a leisure trip mid of May, and had booked this hotel. Being a Diamond Elite member, got an upgrade to an amazing over water residence - spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing family stay. The hotel's lakeside setting felt peaceful and resort-like, yet was very convenient for exploring Hanoi due to its proximity to all the attractions like Old Quarter, Tran Quoc Pagoda and other lovely places. The staff were consistently warm, professional, and attentive, and they made us feel welcome from even before we arrived. Special mention to Ms Ha Truong, Ms Ngoc Nguyen and everyone else for extending their support in making our stay memorable. The breakfast spread was especially impressive, with plenty of variety and good options for different tastes - given we are vegetarian and we appreciated the Indian counter! What stood out most was the overall atmosphere - calm, elegant, and relaxing, with a very pleasant balance between luxury and comfort. The rooms themselves were a little dated, but it was a great base for sightseeing, and after every busy day, it was lovely to return to such a quiet and beautiful property. Highly recommend it for families or anyone looking for a memorable stay in Hanoi.
Stayed here with my partner recently and we both loved it. Wonderful location and the views across the lake are stunning. She loves to take photos, and this was a very pictuesque setting within the city. Rooms were great, very quiet, clean, all the trimmings of a 5 star room and very well air conditioned. The decor may be dated for some but I thought it was very nice (TVs are old, but Hanoi is for exploring not watching TV). Great restaurants, bar & breakfast. In room dining is top notch and staff wete very friendly. Would certainly recommend.
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Intercontinental Westlake. The hotel is beautifully designed, with stunning views of West Lake that make every moment memorable. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable, offering a perfect blend of luxury and modern amenities. The staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly, always going out of their way to ensure my stay was seamless. I also enjoyed the dining experience—delicious cuisine, great presentation, and a lovely atmosphere. The location is ideal, peaceful yet conveniently close to major attractions. Overall, Intercontinental Westlake exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hanoi looking for luxury and comfort.
I had a wonderful 5-day stay at this hotel. Overwater city view was very relaxing and delightful. Especially, Mr. Quang(I hope I remember his name correctly!) made my stay especially memorable thanks to his sweet greeting every morning in the breakfast buffet. I hope to see you again! If I come back to Hanoi, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Home away from home on West Lake I had a wonderful stay at InterContinental Hanoi Westlake, and it was exactly what I needed after a long flight from London. I stayed in the Peaceful on the Water suite, and waking up to the stunning West Lake views was genuinely calming — the landscape is beautiful and the atmosphere is so serene. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always willing to help with anything I needed, and they made the whole experience feel effortless. Breakfast was another highlight: the selection was great, and the pho was honestly the best I’ve had in many years. All of this truly helped me beat jet lag and recover from travel tiredness. It felt like a home away from home, and I would absolutely love to return — next time with my family.
