Nice selection of seafood and other Vietnamese dish. Have a large place for sports viewing as well. The service is fast and efficient.
Totally blown away by our dining experience at Hải Sản Phố! We went as a group of six and booked a private room, which was elegantly set up with flower-folded napkins and a spacious rotating table – it honestly felt like a 5-star banquet. The food was incredibly fresh – from live seafood straight from the tank to beautifully presented, well-seasoned dishes. I especially loved the grilled oysters with scallion oil and the rich, flavorful seafood hotpot. They had live seafood right from the tanks, and every dish was well-seasoned and nicely plated. I was obsessed with the grilled oysters and the seafood hotpot – full of flavor. Staff were on point too, super polite and kept replacing our plates without us even asking. All in all, 10/10 experience. Definitely coming back for another special occasion.
Upscale seafood restaurant in Hanoi serving some of the biggest and freshest seafood, including mantis prawns, slipper lobsters, spiny lobsters, abalone, large prawns, etc. I was amazed by how big their prawns and lobsters were. Prices were exorbitant but to be expected to see seafood of that quality and caliber. Only caveat was the flavor wasn’t up to expectations, and I thought it was surprisingly bland. Crab in tamarind sauce, but the tamarind flavor was heavily subdued. I don’t even remember what I ate because the flavors weren’t all that remarkable, just the size and quality of the seafood. Total came out to be a little over 17M VND.
Restaurant is big, modern and the service of waiter is excellent. Price is written on the tank and i recommend to go with the waiter to see them weigh your seafood and write it down (a travelers recommendation). The seafood variety is awesome have many luxurious live seafood options available. Price is expensive and however the cooking of the dishes are not great... Note when you order the sashimi’s they come straight out of the tank and they do not serve the sashimi on ice so it’s not cold. They provided sweet potato fries, napkins and peanut (they are not complimentary there will be charged in the bill, if u don’t want it just tell the waiter when they serve it). I have no problem with paying high price for quality seafood but when the cooking isn’t good it really deafeats the purpose of the luxurious ingredients... thus i give a 2*... See pictures for my food comment, and the bill.
Most of the dishes were not good: seafood fried rice had crunchy rice, grilled oysters with sauce was oily and not grilled long enough, and some of the others didn't look like the pictures and didn't taste great. Pro: The clams were excellent and the vegetable dish was large. The service during the meal was great, and it's a nice classy environment. We had lots of issues with the bill though, getting double charged for some items and took a long time to get resolved. Luckily 2 in our group speak Vietnamese.
