One of my favorite dining experiences ever. The menu was thoughtful, creative, and delicious. Many of the courses came with a creative little card detailing some of the background of the dish and its connection to traditional Vietnamese’s cuisine. Several dishes really knocked it out of the park including the eel with caviar and the roasted mountain corn. The service was 10/10. Really great art in a modern design. Excellent wine pairing. Chef Quang Dung interacts with diners and gives some more context for the food. After living in New York City for several years, I can assure you the experience here rivals any fine dining in bigger global cities.
I am a professional chef, and I want to share my honest impressions of this experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed. Being able to see the open kitchen right away was a real pleasure, and the aromas immediately set the tone for the evening. We started with cocktails at the table, followed by the tasting menu. First and foremost, I need to highlight the extraordinary quality of the service throughout the entire evening. Truly impeccable, precise, warm, and professional; a level of service worthy of some of the world’s great dining rooms. The tasting menu itself was excellent: beautiful flavors, great balance, thoughtful explanations, and high-quality products. I experienced some very pleasant surprises in terms of flavors, textures, and overall creativity. While not every dish was a personal favorite, many were outstanding. One dish in particular deserves special mention: the beef course, especially the sauce. A stew-style beef jus with notes of star anise and cinnamon…deeply comforting, perfectly executed, and absolutely remarkable. As a chef, I know how difficult it is to make a truly great sauce, and this one was exceptional. Overall, it was a truly wonderful evening. I had read a few negative reviews beforehand, but they absolutely do not reflect the quality, precision, and care of the work being done here. We also had the chance to speak with the chef at the end of the meal, and it is clear that this is a passionate team that genuinely cares about the future of this restaurant. I highly recommend this place.
Celebrated my wedding anniversary here. Food was great, staff were attentive and this is a place you would want to try out when you’re in Hanoi. The chefs are very passionate with their work and craft.
