I enjoyed a plate of White Sausage that comes with slices of bread topped with (I believe) Heirloom tomatoes as well as Calvente White Wine followed by Mandolas White wine. Overall, a very enjoyable experience in a relax atmosphere with the music playing not too loud. You can even come here on a full stomach like I did and still enjoy your time here. 10 out 10, I WILL come back here again when I go on vacation to Granada.
Taberna La Tana is the perfect example of an authentic Spanish tavern: warm, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, a place where you instantly feel at home. The atmosphere is intimate and relaxed, ideal for both a quiet dinner and a lively evening with friends. We stopped by for a quick drink and had two glasses of excellent white wine. To our surprise, we were also served complimentary tapas — each of us received bread with tomato and a couple of slices of local salami, a simple but very appreciated gesture. I can’t say much about the full food menu since we didn’t dine, but the dishes passing by looked and smelled fantastic. Seeing four women chefs confidently running the kitchen, it’s fair to say the food is definitely worth trying. The staff was kind and welcoming. Even though the table had been reserved by other guests, they still offered us the chance to stay for about 40 minutes, which we really appreciated. A genuine, warm spot with great vibes — absolutely worth a visit.
Started my Friday night Granada Tapas crawl at this wonderful establishment which was on of Anthony Bourdain’s favorites. Gorgeous, beautiful looking, very old place with walls lined by hundreds of bottles of fine wines. We had wine and vermouth which came with a nice local chorizo, together with some tomatoes and bread for the tapa. We also ordered a plate of their thinly sliced veal tenderloin, served cold with a delicious local virgin olive oil laced on top. Can’t wait to come back again.
This place is small and nicely decorated. We were impressed with how they prepare their food in the tiny kitchen in front of the shop. As we have communication issues, both ladies not able to speak English, our food ordered wasn’t to our expectations. Generally food is tasty but we have 2 panini look alike food in the order. We thought we ordered a mushroom dish but it was a panini look alike. The whole experience is more like a bar than restaurant. Come here if you want to drink and big portions of finger foods to eat along
Excellent place for tapas even better for wine. It is said the bodega has the 3rd largest wine list in Andalucia. Staff excellent. Tight place and terrace so reservation highly recommended, at least a week in advance preferably.
