It was an absolute pleasure to stay at this hotel during Semana Santa. The hotel is situated on the route of many of the processions. We enjoyed both standing outside and watching, and also from the small library which had a perfect view. The rooms are all bespoke. Ours was off the main area on the ground floor and it was immaculate. I wondered if we might hear from guests coming and going but not at all. The buffet breakfast was simple Spanish food done really well. I get the impression the staff take pride in having delivered the same quality to their guests for a number of years. We would come back! One small note to make is that there is a high lip on the front door to the hotel. Too high to get a pushchair over on your own… we know because we tried! Parking is available through the hotel a few doors down. It’s tight so you need to take your time.

My husband and I stayed at Gar Anat in February. We had a wonderful experience and immediately felt at home. This is a unique boutique hotel with funky personality!! We travel frequently and I can honestly say this was one of my fav hotels ever…our room was uniquely curated in an African theme. Our room was comfy and included three small balconies. Bed was perfect…the service at this hotel is above and beyond. The staff helped us get taxis and tickets for must see stops. Julietta goes above and beyond. We felt well taken care of! Fell in love with Granada and Gar Anat…if you visit, you must enjoy their “wishing tree”…I made the wish to one day return to Gar Anat!

5 stars isn’t enough for this boutique. The staff were welcoming and went above and beyond giving us detailed recommendations of places to explore. They also allowed us to hang out in their beautiful library and enjoy their coffee after we had checked out! The rooms were cleaned everyday, we were provided fresh towels. The space was relaxing and welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel was the best place we stayed at by far during our 2 week, 5 city honeymoon across Portugal and Spain! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the staff are very kind and knowledgeable about the local area. They recommended a flamenco venue in the caves of sacromonte that turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire trip! They also upgraded our room for free (not sure if we just got lucky or this was a honeymoon perk, either way it was much appreciated!) and our room had an enormous bathtub, perfect for soaking with the artisanal bath salts the hotel provides after a long day walking around the Alhambra. I can’t recommend Gar Anat enough!

We absolutely LOVE this hotel! Housed in a 16th century building with only 15 rooms, Gar Anat is the epitome of old town Granada. Elizabeth greeted us when we arrived and was a plethora of knowledge about the area. We were in a superior room which comfortably slept all three in our family. The room was a nice size with a larger sized bathroom. Señora Carmen makes an incredible breakfast buffet and the tea service in the afternoon is a nice way to enjoy a siesta before heading out for the evening. If you’re local for a hotel with character, look not further.
