Tucked down a narrow alley, this tiny, standing-only bar has been serving excellent fried tapas since the mid-20th century.

This bar has excellent service and delicious free tapas (ours was fried fish). Only downside is that there’s no seating. The tinto de verano and vermouth were delicious!
I had a great experience at Bar Casa Julio. The server was genuinely nice and friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. What stood out most was how they greeted everyone who walked past the bar, not just customers. It gave the place a lively, inclusive vibe and made it feel like a spot where everyone is welcome. Service like this really makes a difference—I’d happily visit again and recommend it to others looking for a friendly tapas bar experience.
We loved this place. You feel like a local. Nice people in service. We ordered 4 cañas, they served us free tapas of fried fish. The we ordered extra plates. We really liked the pancakes of shrimps. Nice prices. Totally recommended.
Lovely little tapas bar. I arrived just before they stopped serving food but I will still given some lovely fish tapas. I’ll stop by again.
always one of favorite in granada since my student time. everybody is eating and standing. not long tapas menu but all are authentic. alot of local people for having tapas or drinks before dinner. white wines list is not long but good. love their interior and also warm hearted bar server. this is my spanish soul food.
