Easily one of most gorgeous museums we have been to. The powerful Medici family were passionate art collectors. They filled the upper floors with paintings and sculptures. You have amazing views of the city from the museum rooms! You can also walk the secret passageway which has separate ticket but worth it. It can be overwhelming so make sure you have in your mind what you really want to see so you don’t miss those paintings and sculptures since there are more than 100 rooms. For us in our list we didn’t want to miss Caravaggio, Michelangelo, Raphael, Titian, Leandro. -Plan 3 hours minimum for the trip. -Carry water it’s allowed. -Pre book tickets for sure to avoid long line and go early morning or end of day on weekday. -Wear comfortable shoes and respectful attire not shorts and sandals. The Uffizi contains masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance, including: • The Birth of Venus – by Sandro Botticelli • Primavera • Annunciation – by Leonardo da Vinci • Medusa – by Caravaggio • Paintings by Michelangelo, Raphael, and Titian

The Uffizi Gallery is one of the must-see attractions in Florence. We purchased reduced-price tickets (€20) for the 4:00 PM entry and completed our visit before 6:00 PM. The tour begins on the top floor, where most of the masterpieces are displayed. Reaching it can feel like climbing 100 floors, so I highly recommend taking the elevator. After exploring the upper level, the visit continues through the lower floor galleries. To make the most of the experience, it’s worth preparing in advance and familiarizing yourself with some of the major artists and artworks featured in the museum. This added context greatly enhances the visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Uffizi and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Florence.

The Uffizi Galleries is truly one of the most incredible museums I have ever visited. The collection of artwork here is absolutely extraordinary, featuring countless masterpieces from some of the most famous artists in the world. Walking through the galleries feels like stepping directly into art history, with beautiful paintings, sculptures, and historical pieces in every room. The museum itself is stunning, with elegant architecture and an atmosphere that makes the entire experience feel very special. Every section has something impressive to discover, and even if you are not deeply interested in art, it is impossible not to appreciate the beauty and importance of the works displayed here. Seeing legendary masterpieces in person was unforgettable and completely different from viewing them in books or online. I highly recommend taking your time while visiting because there is so much to see and admire. The galleries are very well organized, and the overall experience was amazing from beginning to end. This is definitely a must-visit place in Florence and one of the highlights of my trip to Italy. Tickets purchased on the same day are slightly cheaper, but I still recommend booking online in advance to avoid waiting in long lines to buy tickets at the entrance.

An unforgettable journey through art history, with a few notes for the management! We visited on a Monday around 12:00 PM; despite Google showing it as closed, it was open and surprisingly comfortable to navigate. Security at the entrance was well-organized and efficient. The tour starts beautifully from the top floor. The collection is absolutely magnificent, housing some of the most important masterpieces in human history. To truly appreciate it, I highly recommend using an audio guide or navigating with AI assistance like Gemini or Claude, which made our experience much richer. You will leave with a deep understanding of Florence and the Medici family. However, as a passionate art lover, I was shocked to see several marble sculptures covered in thick dust. It is unbelievable that one of the world's oldest and most prestigious museums gives such a neglected impression in some areas. Dust can cause permanent staining, dullness, and micro-scratches on delicate marble. These masterpieces deserve the highest level of preservation and must be protected better! On a side note, there is a cafe at the end of the second floor, but charging €2 for a basic bottle of water is excessive. Furthermore, I found it very strange and inconvenient that they don't allow any take-away beverages except for water. The tour continues beautifully with portraits on the first floor, ending at a nice museum shop. It is definitely a must-visit at least once in a lifetime! Note: On-day ticket from the office is 25€/person.

An extensive gallery with Botticelli and beautiful sculptures. But even without all of these great pieces, the building is beautiful with florentine artistry. The lines can get long so definitely pre-book and take your ID with you!
