Among the many steakhouses I have revisited, this one clearly sits in the upper tier when considering ambience, service, food execution, and overall value for money. The restaurant’s character blends seamlessly with the artistic soul of Florence. The space is refined without being ostentatious, carefully balanced in lighting, layout, and table spacing, allowing both privacy and a sense of understated elegance. Service is professional and measured, with an excellent sense of timing—present when needed, discreet when not. This level of restraint reflects a mature and well-trained team that understands how to enhance, rather than interrupt, the dining experience. The cuisine avoids unnecessary showmanship and stays true to the core of a great steakhouse: clear sourcing, precise cooking, and focused flavors. Each dish feels intentional, supporting the main act rather than competing with it. Within its price range, the overall experience exceeds expectations. This is not a restaurant designed to chase momentary excitement, but one that leaves a lasting impression—somewhere you remember fondly and return to at the right moment. This meal was not merely dinner; it was a memory shaped by Florence itself.
Some of the best steak I ever had. I can’t say enough good things about this place. My wife is vegetarian, so I had the “Florentine steak for two” for one. They gave me the smallest steak they had, just under one kilo. It was fantastic. The service was great. Everyone was so friendly. One of the best steakhouses I’ve ever been to!
An enjoyable dining experience from start to finish. Ridiculously large steaks and we got one that was 1.2kg that was perfect size for 2 of us to enjoy. Tender and perfectly cooked rare steak. Service was attentive. Ambiance was relaxed yet not too casual.
We had a wonderful dining experience at Albergo Firenze. The atmosphere was elegant, cozy, and perfect for a relaxing dinner in Florence. The steak was absolutely incredible — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily one of the best meals we had during our trip. Everything from the presentation to the quality of the food felt authentic and high-end. The service was also excellent, attentive, and welcoming throughout the evening. The candlelit atmosphere and classic Italian setting made the whole experience feel very special. Definitely a place worth visiting if you’re in Florence and looking for a memorable Italian dinner.
I visited Regina Bistecca twice during my stay in Florence, and both experiences were excellent. The bistecca alla fiorentina is succulent, tender, and grilled to perfection, with an incredible smoky flavor. The carpaccio starter was also a highlight: fresh and perfectly seasoned. The service from Svi truly elevated everything, she was attentive, friendly, and professional, with great recommendations. Worth every euro for the quality of the meat and service. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely return on my next trip!
