Pitti Palace was one of the peaks of art and grandeur during our trip to Florence. We visited using a combined ticket that covers the Uffizi Gallery, Boboli Gardens, and Pitti Palace. This combined option is much more economical and saves you the trouble of waiting in separate ticket lines. Since the Boboli Gardens are located right behind the palace, planning both for the same day is a very logical route. The palace is not just a single building; it is a massive complex housing several different museums. During our visit, the following sections stood out: Palatine Gallery: The most important part of the palace. It houses the private collection of the Medici family, with walls covered from floor to ceiling with paintings by masters like Raphael, Titian, and Rubens. Royal Apartments: The decoration and furniture in these rooms, where Italian kings and nobles once lived, are luxuriously breathtaking. Gallery of Modern Art: A magnificent collection where you can see the evolution of Italian art from the 18th century to the early 20th century. Treasury and Fashion Museum: The 'Museum of Costume and Fashion' inside is a very interesting section, especially for those interested in historical jewelry and textiles. The interior is vast, so I recommend setting aside at least 2 hours if you want to see every corner. It is a place where you can fully feel the spirit of Florence through its massive architecture and rich art collections."
This was the biggest coolest residence you could ever imagine. To think that a person wanted a house this large was really over the top. The garden area area was exceptional. This was definitely worth a visit. The rooms are exquisite.
A very beautiful and impressive palace with a rich collection of art. It features paintings, sculptures, and works by well-known artists, covering different periods from the Renaissance to more modern styles, including Impressionism. One of the most interesting parts is the fashion collection, which showcases clothing from the Renaissance up to modern Italian fashion. Some pieces are even inspired by outfits seen in famous paintings, which makes the experience unique and engaging. Overall, a very interesting place that is definitely worth a visit.
One of the most beautiful museums I have ever seen. What’s interesting is that you can walk among the exhibits and see them up close. We were not able to visit the apartments, as it seems we had the wrong tickets. Be careful about which tickets you buy, as the general admission ticket does not include access to the entire museum
Great museum in Florence It was a former palace of the ruling Medici family in Florence. There are a lot of cool gallery inside, there is a little wait to buy the ticket, but you can order online to make it quicker. There is a modern art and clothes sections inside as well. I recommend taking the garden access as well to have some stunning views of the city.
